I'm sure the Ole Mississippi Correctional System has some talent left that will be parole eligible before camp.

Browns please take Jack at #32 and Jaylon at #65

Man that would be massively risky taking both tho... I'd be thrilled with Jaylon and one of the DEs... But if both Jack and Smith come fully healthy?? I hear ya

Our defense would be so scary.

I think the 9ers were going to take Garnett at 37. But they have 12 picks and most of them in rounds 4-7. I think they wanted to dump the extra picks and also have he 5th year option on Garnett by taking him in the 1st.

Im not agreeing with that at all. Dump 4th round picks? Not sure I've heard that as a strategy someone would be excited about. The 9ners fan I just watched it with was in disbelief for just what you explained. They were goin to draft him and he was going to be there at 37. Zero reason to trade up. Even if you thought he wouldn't be there, very comparable player (Cody Whitehair), better by some, that would've been there if Garnett wasn't. Chip definitely had somethin to do with that. I bet Garnett is a good NFL OG, multi year pro, but it just follows him everywhere. Doing things that are unnecessary.

How about the two Bama DT's, Noah Spence, Von Bell, Andrew Billings, Ragland. Ton of quality players still out there.

I know, the second round is pretty darn loaded. I'm loving Sua Cravens as a second round pick. Where does he play, no idea. But I bet he'll fly around and hit people.

Can someone please hack Conor Cook's Twitter and post a video of him slaming heroin or something?

Best I was able to get was selfies of him reading the Bible, group photos at Bible study, and giving to needy kids.

Sorry looks like the Browns found their franchise QB for the next 2-3 years.

Irish with two first rounders. Alabama with one. Ole Miss with three. Florida two. Ohio State with five.

When was the last time the Heisman winner not drafted in the first round? Troy Smith, 2007 (5th round) Derrick Henry to Philly?

Dumb pick by the skins

I was thinking the same thing but with that Norman contract and Jackson and Garcon's contracts set to expire, it's actually not all that bad. Definitely feel we needed to go defense there though.

I feel like people take stupid pills sometimes. Some people actually wanted the OSU matchup, which was horrible given the injuries. Probably the same people that wanted 'Bama in 2012.

I still get pissed off when I think about how close we where to playing KSU.

So I just read that 1982 was the last time Notre Dame had a LB drafted in the 1st round. (Bob Crable)

That is the longest drought of any single position group. Interesting tidbit.

LB's are getting devalued more and more in today's passy catchy game though. You'd want to be pretty good these days to go first round. Like Jaylon :(

It's pretty incredible how many first round/any round draft picks BK has produced in 6 years vs the previous 3 coaches in about 13 years. I think we sometimes take BK for granted with what he has done to turn around the disaster that was ND football. We are in such a good place right now.

Really liked what the Skins did, because somehow they convinced Texans to swap with them. I guess they bluffed that they were taking Fuller? Fuller is such a perfect fit for the Texans I'm super excited for him.

Doctson was one of my favorite players in CFB and I thought a really good value there considering Garçon/Jackson are free agents after this year. Better than over-drafting a DL or ILB... can make a move for one of those next round, tons of depth on the DL still available.

It really is crazy how many defensive tackles are left.

Maybe inside, but the trend recently is to find the LB that can cover and rush from the edge, much like Jaylon.

I was at Draft Town in Chicago last night for the first round. It was a great, crazy atmosphere and it is probably the only time you can fans of all 32 teams together for an event and have no one get into a fight.

I think the big winners of the first round are the Cowboys and the Raiders. Zeke Elliot is gonna be a great running back and a great fantasy pickup as he runs behind that line. Karl Joseph is a great safety and I think Oakland hit a home run; Karl Joseph can be the next Earl Thomas.

For my Steelers, I really wanted William Jackson but the Bengals got him a pick before us. I'm happy with Artie Burns though. He's very similar, from a physical standpoint, to Jackson. He might not start right away but he could be starting in the second half of the season.

Fuller, Nuk, Lamar Miller...damn that could be an explosive offense in Houston if Brock is as good as his contract. The AFC South is no joke and is going to be amazing in about 2 years.

It's not just Chip, it's also the lose cannon Baalke. I don't know why they would trade up for a player that would be there at 37. Only other reason I can think of is for the 5th year option.

I believe that's the ONLY time a ND LB has been taken in the first round

I will be glued to the TV tonight to see if Jaylon gets drafted (I definitely think he will).

I think once Myles Jack and Reggie Ragland get drafted it could happen any pick after that.

Darron Lee the luckiest dude in this draft. Health issues all dropped Jaylon, Jack and Ragland down most boards.

I was thinking something similar. And our bowl loss to tOSU seems not as terrible now that we've seen them with 5 first round picks. That is a crazy amount of talent on one team. The fact we were able to still score fairly consistently gives me hope for next year.

Happy for Stanley and Fuller. Now I'd like to see Jaylon, Day, N Martin, K Russell, Shumate, Prosise and Brown drafted. Did I miss anyone?
