The Budweiser ads had a distinct smell of desperation about them. As in, "oh crap, craft beer is eating our market share lunch right now, so we better get out there and flex on the big ad stage."

I didn't see any that struck me as particularly interesting.

Loved this one. Lots of people who can't tell a demand curve from a Curves fitness studio seem to think this is encouraging a housing bubble, but that has nothing to do with it. The ad is about how demand begets demand and how the private sector drives job growth and the economy at large.

Only one I enjoyed was the one where the sheep were singing Queen.

All others just did have the it factor imo.

Agreed. There wasn't even a good Clydesdale ad

The SB baby ads were creepy. They promoted fucking. Even my 15 year old picked up on it.

My favorite was probably the doritos ultrasound

I kind of explained this to my wife, but in a smartass way.

I told her that "by using Rocket Mortgage's app and buying a house, you are going to create demand for products that result in people making money, which in turn will lead them to using Rocket Mortgage's app to buy their own house, which will create a cycle, which will save the economy and the housing market. All because of an app."

Puppymonkeybaby was nightmare fuel. Terrible. They should stick with the dancing scuba guy for Mt. Dew Kickstart commercials.

I thought Paypal's "New Money" commercial was well-done in terms of visuals, boldness, and use of music to stand out.

Doritos baby commercial was funny. The NFL's domestic violence commercial was a joke, considering Greg Hardy has a team. X-Men Apocalypse trailer was cool with the visual of the missiles launching at the beginning.

This one had to be the worst of the bunch. I could run my faucet for a month straight and it wouldn't have jack shit to do with potable water in India. It's scientifically impossible to waste water unless you're physically located in the geographic region with a shortage.

Agree. This is one that really stuck out to me.

The Aerosmith one I only remember because it was a little uncomfortable, haha.

Pfft. If you don't drink Budweiser, you're clearly some hipster queer... and probably a communist as well.

Nevermind that AB-InBev is owned by an international beverage conglomerate based out of Belgium. Supporting your local craft brewery is the only way to actually drink American.

Don't think. Drink Bud! 'Murica! :jerkit:

I honestly don't even care about Budweiser commercials. I'll agree with them on one thing though: no garnish in my beer. Unless it's a lime and I'm drinking Pacifico while watching da Bears. It's my only tradition other than quietly sobbing after the game

It's actually quite sad seeing Budweiser like this. They're finally starting to realize nobody wants to drink their shit water anymore.

The minute I saw the BW commercial, honest to goodness, my very first thought was, "The beer-ites on IE will have a field day with this one."

I really only enjoyed a handful of the commercials.

1) Honda Sheep
2) Super Bowl Babies
3) Doritos baby
4) Snickers Marilyn Monroe.
5) Paypal New Money

All the others were not funny or just really weird.

I didn't like the new money add.

Old money will always be greater if invested properly. Time value of money.

But other than that one, id agree the other 4 were the best.

Puppy Monkey Baby is just plain stupid.

And most of the car ads you didnt even know it was for a car until last second, i still am not sure what cars they were trying to market.

The shock top commercial was good. The rest, especially the stupid sheep, were trash.

You can't draw simple conclusions about Big Beer. You agree with Bud that you don't garnish your beer? Nobody wants to drink Bud anymore? The Shock Top commercial was good?

Shock Top IS Budweiser/AB, most times served with garnish and has been a huge growth product for them.

Yesterday, I took the following to a party I attended. A case of Rolling Rock, a 12 of Bass Ale, two growlers of Goose Island Bourbon County Stouts, a six of Ballast Point Sculpin Grapefruit and a Growler of Stone Enjoy by 2-14 IPA.

The only non-Budweiser/ABinBev product is the Stone IPA. ALL the rest are ABinBev products.

Reports or Budweiser's death have been greatly exaggerated.

Oops... didn't catch the Pacifico the first time. Yet another Budweiser beer.

I watched a lot of the commercials online prior to the airing. Several were cut short or edited.

"Anyone want to feed Scott Baio? It's included in your ticket price." The best part was cut out at the very end. One alien zaps another with his eyes. The tour guy asks why and he replies, "He was double dipping"!

Shock Top was also edited short.

I thought the Doritos ultrasound was the best. The other Doritos with the dogs was pretty good.

Turkey Airlines was decent.

All true what you posted, which makes Bud's commercial even sadder. They're trying to kick sand in the face of craft and foreign beer drinkers. That's pretty rich coming from a foreign-owned company that is holding onto its market share in no small part by acquiring popular craft and foreign brands.
