That is too bad. I remember golfing at the Warren with my son (who was a junior in high school) and we came up on Tommy and Zack Martin on the Tee box. Both of them were very pleasant and they talked with us for awhile and then signed my son's scorecard.

Don't judge a dude when he's out drinking with his buddies. I imagine he gets a lot of morons who approach him when he's out. I'd be on guard too.

I'm sure you were perfectly fine. But I can understand him being guarded.

This. Tommy doesn't make the best decisions when drunk. Don't take it personally, Sully. I'd be an alcoholic too if I endured that 2013 backlash from fans.

Met Tommy Rees in Butch McGuires in Chicago last night. He was wasted and I can tell you him and especially his buddy were total dicks. I basically was walking to the bathroom they were standing right outside of it I noticed him and said hello, I wasn't creeping or looking to hang out. His buddy got real tough telling me to get the f*ck out of there and beat it and Tommy was a dick as well backing him up. I was 100% polite when I said hello. After they got tough I just walked back to my crew and definitely told his friend I would kick his ass if he wanted to discuss that further and that was that .

That sucks...

Hope someone that looked like you had called him noodle arm earlier in the night or something...

If he was angry drunk hit a cop Tommy, HE is lucky you chose the high road...he already has a related data point in that regard...in his profession, no one will put up with the exposure...

I imagine that he gets called noodle arm 6-7 times a night. I'm glad that my life wasn't under a microscope when I was 18-22 years old.

Geez I hope not. He made some really timely throws with that noodle arm...just ask 2012, right?

Agreed. In his case it had to be a hell of a roller coaster ride...BUT, I will say No one stepped out of a storefront and punched him in the face ala Jimmy Clausen.

I like Tommy. He's just taken a lot of abuse.

Are you a grown man? If so, never say "my crew" ever again.

Met Tommy a few years ago and gotta say I got the exact opposite response from him... He was very cordial and came away very inpressed with him. Chalk it up to alcohol and nightclub scene

Disappointed to hear about Tommy. I had a pretty good experience with Tommy last season. I was back in town prior to the Stanford game for the FEAC conference (which is a cool event for any of you guys went through Mendoza -on top of the event being worthwhile, its a good way to expense a trip back to south bend). Thursday night before the game they have a cocktail/networking session in the press box and it rained unbelievably hard that night. Afterwards I found myself in the elevator down with Tommy (he was working for someone in the finance dept). We took one look out of the stadium and knew it was going to be a long run back to the Joyce lot to our cars. We both had sports jackets on and started looking for a trash bag to put over ourselves. The next thing I knew I was walking through the lower concourse of the empty House that Rock Built with Tommy Rees, scavenging through concession stands in search of trash bags. Was a weird night followed by sitting next to Kevin Hogan's parents at MainStreet Pub.

Tommy Rees is a "Notre Dame Man"? Lol

Honestly the whole thing needs to die. Just another thing we stole from Michigan lol

Good luck and great for Thomas though. Hopefully for his professional sakes he goes by Tom or Thomas now.

This is the third thread I've seen you make this claim. Quit trying to pin this with Michigan. Schools have done this for many many years, it goes beyond the Skunkbears. There are "Harvard men" and "Stanford men" and I've even seen "Alabama men" before, whatever that entails. This has nothing to do with Michigan, other than they practice the tradition too (And they suck).
