Per UND

Cole Luke became the first Notre Dame player with two interceptions in a game since Manti Te'o against Michigan in 2012. He recorded his first career sack, forced fumble and interception, all coming on consecutive plays late in the first quarter.

i think he didn't tap his potential.

saw a lot of plays left out there by him and i'm not saying it to be a dick, i'm saying it b/c he can be better, which bodes well for us

Second INT was a thing of beauty. Ty Montgomery hesitated to attack the ball when he had inside leverage to make the catch and Luke was aggresive and attacked the ball. In a contested catch, he won against one of the best receivers in the country. Is there a better CB in the nation? He is soo good.

Finally, the CB tandem we've been waiting for (Cole Luke and KVR).

This young man needs a message sent to him. Luke playing like crap makes one good play, losing by 18 and you pull that stupid stunt. That comes down to leadership.

I don't think it was that big of a deal. I think it was a little energy that the team needed, maybe it got the guys a little fired up I have no idea but didn't really bother me to the point where you are going.

Probably a generational thing. I thought it was pretty stupid.

On a similar note I am praying to touchdown Jesus that Oregon getting their ass kicked a couple more times this year will signal the beginning of the end of the peacock revolution that has taken place in regards to college football uniforms over the last decade. That crap has gotten way out of hand.

Did anyone notice after Russell's pick to save the game Rule looked to be jawing with Luke and the official came over and walked him away.....does anyone have any ideas what was going on?

I don't but he walked out onto the field to jaw at Jaylon at one point as well. I'd like to hear what it was all about.

I think the level of grabbing and hand use was fairly egregious during that game. Just spitballing though.

Yeah, I think TP mentioned that in passing on his website in the article about Annie Apple, I didn't catch it either. Heaven forbid that BK push a grad assistant back when that grad assistant isn't listening to the S&C coach to step back, but Rhule is having words with one of our players? What was going on there?

Didn't the NC State coach push the Clemson qb? Haven't heard much of that at all.

Looks like it was a assistant and it wasn't nearly as bad.

I think he was trying to talk to 6 after the pick and I don't know if Rhule thought he said something to the Temple sidelines but they did exchange some words. Come on Showtime

Also Luke has been pretty quiet this year and I hope he comes out in the second half of the season like he finished the year like last year.

Isn't it a good thing when CBs are "quiet"?

Yes, he's been our most consistent secondary player but I was hoping to see a big jump from him and I don't know if we've seen it. Maybe I'm being to critical?

I feel that the QBs haven't been throwing his way a lot. I've been impressed but who knows

I watched the clip like 5 times, and I'm pretty sure Rhule was telling KeiVarae "nice play" and smacked him on the butt, and then Rhule proceeded to bitch to the ref about something else.

I'm probably completely wrong.

It was Luke for sure. KVR made the pic near the ND sideline and immediatly went the side line brushing himself in a humble manor as usual. Luke defending the receiver along the Temple sideline. Just watched the recording again and he did slap his ass but it didn't look all friendly, looked like he was bitching at him and then the ref.

Just watched it again, it was Luke. When the camera first shows Rhule he is slapping Luke on the backside and saying something to him. Luke has a confused look on his face and turns away from him. The ref is pointing for Rhule to get back to his sideline while Rhule continues running his mouth. Didn't appear to be a friendly conversation.

They haven't. KVR has been consistently attacked by opposing OCs. He has made a few plays late in games recently but he's been out of position or flat out beat alot.
