If it was just the regular buckeye douche fans/writers I wouldn't put much into this but Wiltfong thinks OSU leads. Apparently Austin really does have a love affair with Urban. With his connection to AWP, Jaylon, and ND I'm going to close my eyes and hope for the best but this just doesn't feel right.

Yeah...I'm pretty concerned right now about him but we have a lot of time to work on him and catch up.

My simple perspective: when will Urban finally be exposed for the lying douche nozzle that he is? Did he tell Austin that he loves his butt, he is the next Percy, and that he won't have to play class? So tired of Urban... rant over

It's a long, long way before his recruitment ends. If urban leads now sweet. But I really do like our luck at bishop luers.

I'm extremely skeptical that Meyer is making daily calls to a mid-4:s: WR from IN. More likely the kid receives daily texts from a phone # via which he has spoken to Meyer several times. But it's a GA who's doing the actual texting.

Wait! What? That's not Urban talking to his recruits every day and letting them know they are the most important thing?

Per an interview with Loy, Stanford is coming on pretty hard. He's looking to take a visit out there for a game this season.

Did a great Q&A with in ISD Intel. Seems like OSU might be team to beat or we might be neck-and-neck there... either way he makes multiple mentions to them "showing more love" and outworking Notre Dame, and says that graduation rates don't matter to him.

June decision.

JMO but this indicates academics aren't a priority for him and what sets ND apart will not play a factor here

Not to mention, it could be a negative factor for Notre Dame. If the kid has no interest in graduating, then why would he want to go to a school with more strenuous academic responsibilities?

Taking real classes and studying are something he would have to do here. Doesn't sound like he's into that sorta thing. If that is indeed the case, he would be better off going to OSU.

Nah, that's not the read I got. Specifically his quote was:
Is he aware of the difference between the ND graduation rate of football players compared to other schools he is considering?
Mack: “I’m very aware and either way graduation rate doesn’t bother my decision at all, because it’s all based on effort. I know either way wherever I end up, my effort will easily let me graduate, compete and do the things I want to do on and off the field.”

In general, sounds neck-and-neck with OSU reading his whole interview.

Shows a bit of immaturity, but he's young with plenty of time to learn.

I think one of the hardest things for a young person to learn is that you have to throw aside the idea that bad things can't or won't happen to you. We've all had friends drive drunk saying, "I won't get pulled over," or in this case, "I don't need to go to a college with great graduation rates; I'm going to graduate no matter where I go."

Thanks for posting the quote LAX. I didn't see it and was just going off of the "graduation rates don't matter to him."

So true. And even more than that, it's about culture. If 100% of people are going to class and graduating, you're far more likely to graduate and get a great education. If half your peers aren't even trying to get a degree, and the other half are just doing the bare minimum, then you're far more likely to fall into that rut.

But there are always exception. Myron Rolle, etc. So nothing is a hard rule.

I can tell you that isnt the case with Mack. If you read the quote, he wasnt relating it to what you are implying. Sure, it could be the case, but Mack is one of the more mature recruits in the 2015 and 2016 classes. Wherever he goes, will be a thought out and mature decision.

If OSU is outworking us at the moment then we may want to step it up.

That's not how I took it at all. To me it seems he's saying that he knows he's going to be putting in the proper effort even if others aren't. So more or less that those low grade rates elsewhere has nothing to do with his effort as high grade rates elsewhere has nothing to do with him either.
