The fact that they are letting him return would lead me to believe they found nothing worth vacating wins for... can't imagine having a player play for a school after his actions resulted in vacating... talk about awkward.

yeah, but he's part of it... if he's involved, in any way shape or form in something serious enough to result in vacating wins... doesn't make sense, unless he's involved in such a small scale that he wasn't really a part of it, and if that's the case then why suspend him further??

Yup, and that's not even considering the guys who have already graduated.

What it really comes down to is:
1. Was the cheating enough that these players would've otherwise been ineligible?
2. If so, does the fact that the girl was an "employee" mean ipso facto that an "athletic department representative knew"?

If both conditions are met, then vacating makes sense. Gray areas abound though. I expect us to vacate.

Right now he's probably just trying to say the right things. But, if he looks into the NFL after the season, and they then give him a lower-round grade simply for lack of film, I could see him returning to improve his stock. One more semester of school and 13+ games might be worth the millions of dollars in draft position that he would gain (or gain back, if he were to have played this season).

Didn't he say on social media (since deleted) he would use them to get his degree

And KR was the one rumored by most to have the least amount of involvement so seemingly an indication of things to come. With a guy like DD, who was already in hot water earlier this year for academics, he needed to come out squeeky clean anyways for him to have a shot at staying in school or allowed back.

Thanks. DD would be another 6* if he gets the same result as KVR. And of course chooses to come back. At this point I think he'd have to, his draft grade can't be that good.

I had heard that KVR and possibly Ishaq/Hardy would potentially have the chance to return eventually, but that all five were done for football for the year. So yeah, that would follow. I don't think it's a lock that Ishaq or Hardy would necessarily be back but I think Ishaq will try to.

I hope all that are eligible to return, do return. The potential is there for IW and KVR to have great years.

If Baratti is done, Safety depth is downright frightening next year. Hardy could be a strong candidate to get a 5th year.

I really hope so, and I am also, in hindsight, glad that he hasn't taken a redshirt year yet. Would be a very nice addition to next year's squad.

I'm not saying - at all - that Ishaq/Hardy have the option. I'm saying that there is (reportedly) a chance that they might be able to get the option.

I had high hopes for Hardy. He's from my hometown in Ohio, which seems to only send football players to us, Michigan, and OSU.

I honestly can't understand how players choose Michigan from Pickerington, since I remember a kid getting beaten up on the playground in first grade for wearing a Michigan jacket to school. Rational or not (OSU fans are assholes), you gotta think that that kind of reaction has to weigh heavily on kids choosing between OSU and TTUN. Outcasts forever.
