Per Loy who talked to ESB, Kelly will be handling his recruitment going forward. We're going to be making him a priority.

With Ofodile committed, I imagine so. Really want a big time outside receiver in this class.

What is Kelly's track record when this happens?

Pretty darn good. Nyles Morgan... Jaylon Smith... what's weird is he said something similar to Cornell right before he fell off the board sooooo...

I may be wrong, but hasn't he also taken over HIillard's recruitment? I know, Lax, that you don't think he is coming, but still....

Anyone else think it might be a little harder to land a top-flight WR in this class if we don't have a quarterback in it?

Not when you look at who is on the roster when they arrive on campus

Golson possible year
Malik 3 years
Kizer 4 years
2016 guy thereafter

So if I'm reading this correctly...Malik Zaire has 7 years of eligibility left?

Shoot, we can skip the next couple years of QB recruiting then.

If we can somehow manage to land ESB, Boykin, and Newsome, Zaire or Kizer is so gonna win a Heisman!

Was pleasantly surprised by the size and modernness of the campus. Has spoken to Waller about playing together at the next level. Doesn't have top-5 or -10, but if he did, ND would be at the top - good football program, plus education will set you up for life. Plans to OV for Stanford game (his bye week).

Like Jimmy won the Heisman with Floyd, Tate, Rudolph and Kumara?

I completely see your point but I would like to point out that if the defense didn't suck these stats would have been in the running. I actually remember reading an article about guys that should've been consider for the Heisman but weren't and Clausen was at the top of that list.

2009
289 comp.
425 Att
68.0 comp %
3722 yds.
28 tds
4 ints
161.4 QBR

He had an incredible year. 6 losses will not win anyone a Heisman in today's game. Wish he would have stayed for his Sr year, but I understand completely why he opted out.

If I remember correctly. 3 of those picks where balls that deflected off the wide receiver or something really dumb like that. Jimmy was on point that year.

I think you might be right. I vaguely remember one to Floyd in the redzone where he didn't turn around and it hit his back numbers bounced up and was picked. The defense was so bad. The Hawaii Bowl was just one big highlight for ND.

Yeah someone charted them and like 1 was a hail mary right before half, and the other 3 were deflections off of WRs or something. Literally did not throw a single INT that was "his fault" while being asked to sling it all over the yard.

I loved Brady as a player and all around, he can do no wrong, but JC might be the best QB we've seen at ND. At the very least in the last 30 years. His JR year was textbook

If he had stayed for his Senior year it would have been aewsome for ND and would have had a dramatic impact on his NFL experience.
