I must have been much drunker than I thought. Stomach still hurt today, lol. Hope you had fun at the wedding! Quite the bender of a weekend for you. Now make Bill sign up for IE. Get him away from the dark side.

I can see the will fuller I don't see much of Hunter. Beau any reason you compare him to Rhema?

I think if you set the the over/under at 48.5 drinks the last 3 days for me I would take the over.
I think he looks really good and some solid offers from ND, Baylor, Clemson, OSU, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Stanford, and Texas AM.
He looks really fast to me. Not a big WR, but probably perfect for the slot. Only thing I don't like is he looks pretty bad at running routes. For instance, check out his out routes on the film. Good coaching will help with that though.
Good pick up! Much better than the ~ 85 rating IMO.
I tried to send you a PM but it wasn't working. I agree. Keep up some of the observations, just don't get carried away.
You spoke too soon.
Desean Jackson.
In all seriousness, how's this guy not a slot prospect? Seems like he'd be a good fit and he's already experienced at running the tunnel screen.
Personal opinion and this hasn't been validated by anybody but I see him as an X. He could be outside/inside, basically moved around. I think we're looking for a specific Z WR this class. Think Newsome or someone like that as we have a long shot at him. Then a W WR think Boykin/ESB/Strickland.
I'll be honest this is a very nice early pick up, BUT with a small amount of Scholarships to give out this cycle I expected us to focus on the best of the best early and then if we didn't get some of them move to lower ranked players.
I expect us to go at least 5 above the projected number. Don't think class will be nearly as small as most think.
Solid pick up. I'm being greedy saying we need some game changers at WR this cycle but he's a solid addition to what I expect to be a good WR class.
Cant put a price on what he means for Notre Dame as a whole reguardless of what you think of talent. Getting a player from a school like Allen is huge and players notice across the state.
As far as Guyton, I think he is a huge pickup. Beau put in his article that he plays like Hunter/Fuller. I dont think he has that kind of quickness, and plays like a bigger receiver more than guys his size. The greatest thing he does is he knows how to get depth in his route and get the db off balance on his deep routes. He uses his body like Rhema to get separation and has deceptive athleticism. Rhema wasnt the fastest, biggest or best route runner but he knew how to get the db off balance. Both players are blazers, but find themselves behind the defense.
player despite the offers/exposure/production. Makes you wonder if there's something we're missing in a highlight tape. The bolded is a really good point. It doesn't get much better than Allen HS (in Texas or nationally). That's exactly the type of program we want players from.
I only watched about half of his highlight, but he seems to be an above average route runner. Really advanced for his age. Fuller is a good comparison, and if he's anything like Fuller, he could be a stud.
Really? I actually thought his routes were bad, but I think he's a great athlete and the routes will come with time.
My one reservation is that he is from Allen... plays with a top QB... has tons of exposure... and is still rated where he is. He's basically a consensus low 3player despite the offers/exposure/production. Makes you wonder if there's something we're missing in a highlight tape.
Alright, I'll take the tinfoil hat off now.

A rare strange post from you, Lax. Are you saying you care more about website rankings than his offer list?
LAX- Allen was the #2 team in the country in USA Today's national rankings, so there is more than likely a lot of talent on that team. Murray had 3248 yards in 2013 on 185 completions. Guyton had 42 catches for 1028 yards. So thats 1/3 of Murrays yards going to Guyton. For debate purposes....Josh Rosen threw for 5287 yards in 2013, and his top WR Shay Fields (4star) 82 catches for 1617yards, which is just under 1/3 of Rosens yards. St John Bosco finished 4th in the USA Today rankings. I dont think its a fair assessment to judge his rankings off lack of production.
Allen is about as good as it gets in TX for HS football. He had a crazy amount of talented players around him this past season and he was only a junior. With him already having offers from a lot of great schools as a junior, I expect his rankings to rise next year as a senior when a lot of the talented seniors from last season are gone.
by every service? Most of the usual explanations are out, so it stands to reason that the "experts" just don't like him all that much at this point. Either the analysts don't like something in his game that we don't see in the highlights, or ... (fill in the blank here, I can't think of other explanations).
player. He seems like he should be in the 88-92 range, unless I am completely misjudging his speed, hands, competition, and body control.Let me clarify what I'm saying a bit. I think IrishFaninTX did a good job of kind of answering what I was trying to get at.
Most kids that fly under the radar and get big rankings bumps are coming from unknown schools or otherwise didn't show out until late in their careers. Guyton, on the other hand, has about as much exposure as you can get and was productive and plays with a star QB. He also had a ton of offers, so he clearly is on the radars of many teams.
So why is he a consensus low 3by every service? Most of the usual explanations are out, so it stands to reason that the "experts" just don't like him all that much at this point. Either the analysts don't like something in his game that we don't see in the highlights, or ... (fill in the blank here, I can't think of other explanations).
Because for the life of me, I do not understand how someone from that school with those offers and that tape is a low 3player. He seems like he should be in the 88-92 range, unless I am completely misjudging his speed, hands, competition, and body control.
