I could game the system and launch a few Lenny Bruce, George Carlin, Mort Sahl and Lewis Black inspired, vulgarity laced tirades. My primary target would be the blaming of "blue hairs" for whatever deficiency some see in crowd noise and energy at home games.

A few jabs at a random Mod or two for being ham-handed bullies abusing their standing and power would seal the deal.

So ... should I nominate myself and have at it, guaranteeing that I take home an award???

Is there a way the mods can put all this into some sub forum so it doesn't take the entire front page up? I can't be the only poster here that thinks these things are kinda silly and un-needed.

You can never leave dshans. The collective ability of the board to produce legible posts is kept in check, dare I say, mostly by your presence. If you were to abandon us... I don't know what would would happen, but it would not be good.

Earlier in the thread. Jumping on K-man like that. Bull shit. All I could see in my minds eye were a bunch of stupid-snotty third graders jumping on the same kid to be part of the "cool click."

I had a chance to see some of that phenomenon, (beyond when I was that age), with one of my sons and his cohorts, and I asked him about it later. He even agreed with me that what the guys were saying was beyond stupid. But as he said that isn't what was important. It was that they were all saying the same stupid things, together.

Tommy and I both try to be good posters. We may argue with a few of you sometimes, but most of you are good guys and we enjoy getting a different perspective too.

I have to agree with you. Personally I have really enjoy some of the interaction we have had.

I really have pulled my entertainment dollar from you guys over your defending the integrity of the Alabama program. I picture us (all) like Lothario Armistead across the battlefield from Winfield Scott at Gettysburg. Good friends on opposite sides, at spy glass distance, separated by a skirmish line.

I agree that there are bigger assholes. I don't think The Coon is an asshole. I just think he does somethings that irk people, and he isn't afraid to back down from anything. He's very okay with creating a scene.

But that's exactly why he is likely to be banned. I already gave him a timeout before.

eh, not sure that's apples to apples... is it? I'm more concerned with navigation of the site... and wondering if we could put this in a cleaner spot and off the main page, but okay. Just for the record, I don't believe I've posted any girl pics in a recruiting thread... anyway, I'm just throwing it out there... if no one else cares then have at it I suppose.
