Jay didn't look happy that they introduced him as "Josh". He walked on stage and whispered in the emcee's ear as he was reading his bio.

He's rocking Tuitt's #7 in this game and definitely isn't as thick as the other DT's here (Craig Evans, Enoch Smith, Dylan Thompson, etc). It will be interesting to see how his body develops when Longo gets ahold of him.

On another note, I talked to Craig Evans last night. Nice kid. Great personality. He said he would've been Irish if they offered, but they didn't due to academics and he doesn't blame them at all.

Jay Hayes says he will be wearing No. 93. He was happy because he grew up a Da'Quan Bowers fan, but originally he was hoping to wear No. 2 as well.

most likely an upper classman had requested a switch? Or maybe Riggs?
Any of those freshmen wr/db's requesting single digits is pointless because they will have to wear other numbers if they wanna be on ST anyways

Panda may know more, but aren't Drop-Sets mainly used in body building because the focus is building mass over strength/power?

Geez, Koon doesn't need any more anti-Longo ammo.

Building mass goes hands in hand with strength and power. Its a great tool for when you have hit a plateau

The fcous is on getting your muscles burnt out and used to the drop dead point. The benefit comes when you want to move up to heavy weight

I don't necessarily agree with the first part. I know plenty of guys who aren't as strong as their physique would suggest...However, the rest makes sense.

When you are first starting off, strength and mass pretty much come together.

Once you've been doing it for a while it starts to split. You can focus on improving mass over improving strength for sure, though they are never completely separate.

Many, if not most, bodybuilders are looking for size more than strength.

Thank you, this is what I was trying to say ... there comes a point where you can focus on one or the other, but the single act of drop sets doesn't just benefit bodybuilders.

Negative reps are also a good way to interject both strength and mass into a workout

Makes sense. I've honestly only associated drop-sets with mass, because of bodybuilding, so I was curious. Thanks.

Is there real smoke about Hayes leaving? I see all the sarcasm but it's been a continual thing since Mahone was arrested.

Hayes is extremely valuable to this team moving forward.

No, not really. He got bent out of shape at one point about some little stuff but generally he's doing alright and adjusting better than some others. I'd compare him to Louis Nix as a big personality... Nix also reportedly had one foot out the door many times during his stint at ND but perpetually stuck around.

I don't think anyone should put much stock in his Twitter, and if something concrete ever does arise you'll certainly know when it does.
