That's some pretty strong language. Iron is on 95% of the time...IMO.

He only has 288 posts so maybe he doesn't know about the sarcasm rule. If he does, then well.........

sorry to ask but I'm a little confused. Is it just some random ahole saying that strides have been made or are reporters saying the same thing?

Yes and no. It was a confirmed, random, unsubstantiated, he said, she said, he heard form a friend who heard it from another friend that you've been messin' around post or rumor. Hell, I have no idea. What were we talking about?

would news of him scheduling a visit to ND clarify that he's qualified?

seems like that was constantly pushed back when this began.

either way what little hope we seem to have, is a lot more than we had last week at this time

Is that a hypothetical or are you seeing it reported that he is visiting?

On a positive note besides the retarded post from connect the dots...who ever the hell that is, even the pessimistic post in this thread have been good? Not sure if that quite makes sense but it seems like we all admire IM's gumption if you will. He is trying to take the road less traveled, he's been offered alternatives and still wants to fight to be at ND, I can do nothing but admire a kid in today's world for this. A lesser man would take the ole miss, or UF offer and call it a day. It's also nice to see a thread where we all get alog.....can we sing kumbaya now

Agreed. We should start a petition. Wait, what?

Whitfield would smoke McKenzie. I just realized they were the same size, but it just shows how awesome a true returner guy can be.

Ya he might be the fastest guy in the country. I forgot last year but during the summer FSU fans claimed he ran a 4.39. No one believed them till last night. Kid can fly

Best part of that run was his 5th gear. He was blazing up the sideline, and he bated a kid into taking a bad angle by running at 95%. He was FLYING the last 20 yards!

All I ask is that the communication between Isaiah and the ND coaching staff is clear and both sides are open. I think that is really what hurt us in a couple of cases (disclaimer: I have no info, don't read into the last sentence).

I genrally agree. That is incredibly fast for a football player, but not beyond the pale for an elite track kid. The two overlap: a lot of the fastest kids can't play football very well.

I also sometimes wonder if times may actually dip a little after 4 years of college because the kids are heavier and more muscle-bound. Sounds like the majority assume the opposite.

In any event, this is why IM is such a stud. He can run really fast while maintaining shiftiness. He is football fast. Similarly people have to get over QB 40 times. QBs are almost always moving their feet before they start sprinting, so a 4.6 kid might end up being REALLY fast in game situations. Those are very different mechanics. It's the difference between a kid dunking off of two feet underneath the basket, and a kid dunking on a fast break.

marvin bracy for fsu

In June 2011 Bracy ran away with the 100-meter dash title at the 2011 USA Track and Field Junior Championships in Eugene, Oregon, clocking the second-fastest time in Florida high school history, 10.05 seconds.[15] Only Jeff Demps, co-holder of the junior world record (10.01 sec), sits atop of Bracy in the all-time list. If it had not been for the wind-assistance (+2.2 m/s), Bracy's time would be placed sixth on the IAAF all-time junior toplist,

Levonte "Kermit" Whitfield

PERSONAL: One of the fastest high school players in the nation, Whitfield has run a 4.37 40-yard dash, which is the fastest recorded among 2013 class athletes in the ESPN database---this

he is the cousin of former FSU WR Marvin Bracy, who also ran track for the `Noles...like Bracy, Whitfield will also double up and run track for the Seminoles...Whitfield is the reigning Florida 3A state champion in the 100 and 200 and has a personal-best 100 time of 10.21..

Bracy doesn't play anymore. Regardless Whitfield and Bracy would be the fastest players at ND ever. And they both almost returned kicks together at FSU this year =(
