The more I see this kid the more I like him. His frame is already solid. I'm interested to see what his playing weight at ND will be. He seems to have all the tools necessary to do big things.

I don't know if I told you this before, but have you ever checked urban dictionary for your username, "golden glory"?

It's not good... ha

I checked out the urban dictionary for the first time.
It's a good thing I used the capital letters with positive meaning as opposed to the lower caps with the negative connotation.

I love watching him catch the ball. He seems to just snatch it out of the air. He's a natural hands catcher. I think its apparent hes been working on his footwork which has gotten substantially better. Also he makes plays across the middle look easy. I am getting very excited to watch him.

Brent's been making a lot of the best CB's look silly. He needs to start making a list.

Expect Brent to move in the Top 40-60 range, maybe higher, on 247. Barton Simmons, JC, & Wiltfong all really like him. That would put him in the 96-98 Rating area, he was originally had a 88 rating.

Why rating kids so early is kinda non-sensical. There is an awful lot of time between when these kids get their first ratings (before their junior season when they are 15-16 years old) and when they actually complete their high school prep career. At the same time, as long as you accept that it is a "big board" open to lots of change I guess there is no harm in it.

Damn and I was wondering when we would ever sign another elite outside WR. I wasn't sure about him when we offered, and were his ONLY offer but damn Justin and the coaching staff has proved me wrong. Great job of scouting by the staff.

This is why Scout is a joke IMO. They usually are second to 247 in releasing rankings and then don't update it for MONTHS with a total of only a couple updates. 247s initial rankings are a little premature but they update them like once every two months so I like it.

The size and the athleticism excited me from the jump. When we offered him there was really nothing to go on except that our staff liked him and he was a legit basketball recruit. Those two things in combination sold me.

If his rating moved to 96-98 then he would be a top 8 receiver.

I hope we don't lose him to Houston

Since Brent's stock is rising, does that mean the coaching staff will lower their desired number of WRs (I thought I read here the target number is/was 4-WRs) and use that saved scholarship for another position?

The staff knew what they had in Brent long before the recruitniks started catching on. Regardless, it doesn't change the depth chart/ scholarship #s.

It seems like he will be a quality outside receiver almost like a Davaris Daniels would be my comparison. Big Body and can make plays all over the field.

DD has a good 2 inches on him. From what I understand, DD is a legit 6'3". JB is listed at places as 6'3" but when he is measured at events he is 6'1".

GOD DAMN IT

I even commented on the previous bump. I need to stop doing this late night ****.

I should note that I blame 247 because I checked every single profile for a note on when their bump was done and none of them had it except Brent. And I misread Brent's as the bar graph on my iPad looked like it said it was changed 7/7. And now on my PC it doesn't look like that.

He has soft hands. He is one of those confident pass catchers, which allows him to focus on the other aspects of the game moving ahead. I am one who never cares about the stars, this kid has a very high ceiling.

You know I asked someone, because I stood in the general area with JB once and I thought he was a little taller. My feeling was confirmed. Someone told me that he probably measurers a tad under six-two. So when he is wearing shoes, he is a full six-three.

I don't know what good it does getting measured in shoes, even though that is the way you play. But everybody is trying to get every advantage. Bottom line, I see him close to a duplicate for Michael Floyd.
