Time for the Irish to play catch up. Get him on campus and give him the first class treatment. This kid will play on Sunday's in the future.

Yep, it will interesting to see what he says after his visit. We can offer immediate playing time at his desired position which I imagine with Bama's depth thats not the case, maybe you can shed some light on that. And in regards to Kentucky we offer a much higher profile defense. So outside of just academics there are few things that we can highlight for him. I would agree that he definitely has potential to be playing sundays. He's got the great quickness for his size. Dare I say he reminds me of Louis Nix, haha.

Dang. With that rating he's not going to no Kentucky.

Could you imagine a DL of Elam, Trumbetti, and Hayes? Would be absolutely enormous.

I really hope this kid takes a long look at what the staff did with Lou and sees what he can become at ND.

I wish I felt better about our chances, but if he is going to spurn the home state favorite I think it would only be for Bama. We do offer basically immediate playing time, however, so maybe we could make it interesting after the visit. He has soooooo many people in his ear telling him to go to UK though. Might just be too tough to turn them down.

i think once we get him on campus show him around and let him see what we envision him doing as a first year starter we make it real interesting. we have a couple Kentucky kids to boot.

IMO, he was more than intrigued by the ND offer, calling it big time or something. Getting him on campus this month will be huge and I can see ND jumping up to lead the pack after this visit. With the new interest, it would not surprise me to see UL and UK fall by the wayside. Bigger opportunities outside the state.

We need to get momma on campus. She is pressuring him to stay home.

What's interesting is Elizabethtown, KY is almost exactly in the middle of South Bend (5hrs north) and Tuscaloosa (5 1/2 hrs south).

Hate to see a talent like this waste away at UK, but I guess it beats the h3ll outta Bama.

Right. I can see him committing to UK.

Sticking to them after they have a rough season and high profile teams staying in his ear (if they do) though? We will have to see about that.

And it sounds like he's not planning to announce anything until the Army All American Bowl. So this is a long road yet.

Re:the maroon elephant in the room-has he visited Bama yet?

Yes. He has. Within the last 2 weeks. Don't know the exact date.

Yes he was offered at their Junior Day months ago, camped at Alabama two weeks ago, and has already set a OV

Him and his mom also had a Skype date with Nick Saban.

I come from the school that one can never have enough defensive linemen. He would be in a heavy rotation there if he went to Bama. I don't know if that would matter to him. The chance to have immediate playing time would be important I would think. I think the Irish should play that up as well as the academics. Word is that his mother wants him at UK so I would concentrate on her as much as him during the visit. Sell her on the school, what life is after school with an Irish education, and then hope they leave with that on their mind as much as football. If momma leaves happy then the Irish may just move up with him.

And he does remind me of Nix somewhat. Obviously he has a long way to go to be in that conversation but a year in the weight room, 25 lbs lighter, and with him already being quick he could turn into a real beast on the line. I hope he does well no matter what school he chooses.
