“I’ve been hearing a lot from USC and UCLA,” Mama told Lindsey Thiry of Scout.com. “Those are two schools I’d like to get (offers).”

distance shouldn't be a factor in Mama's eventual decision.

Shouldn't be, but he clearly wants the close to home offers.

Same h.s. as Bryce Treggs and Nico Falah, as well as current UW qb Keith Price. A few yrs ago the admin at St. John Bosco got tired of getting their brains beat in by Mater Dei (Leinart, Barkley, and our own Joe Schmidt) and Servite (Troy Niklas) and brought in coaches in both football and bball that would recruit (just like Gardena Serra did, and they ended up with Robert Woods and Marquise Lee, among many others).

So it would be nice to get one of these kids so we could develop a good relationship at that school. Unfortunately USC is ahead of us there. Gonna put in a call to one of my former students who plays with Mama to see where his head is at, but I'd imagine it would be with USC right now.

His whole family is USC fans. Would be a very tough pull.

And on cue, Mama was at USC's practice today with USC signee and fellow h.s. teammate Nico Fallah.

It's funny, I talked to my former student last night about Falah and he said Falah completely changed during the recruiting process. Said it got to his head and he wasn't the nice, cool kid he used to be - cocky as hell now. Even got into a twitter beef with teammates who he was ragging on for not having offers. Perfect fit for USC, who incidentally he was committed to for over 6 months but yet flirted with UW all the way to the end (even said someone stole his phone and sent tweets to recruitniks saying he was having 2nd thoughts about USC - surrrrrre buddy.

Happens all the time...but Nico will get his taste of humble pie soon enough, as he is way smaller than Mama and he needs to put on a lot of muscle to play at the next level. And he plans on playing right away LOL. Hopefully Mama stays humble throughout.

Saw that twitter Thing with Nico...completely out of line with how he was treating teammates...bosco is changing starting to recurit kids...they will be at the top of The trinity league every year now.. Their quarterback a 2015 kid Rosen wil be something special.

Would we take him or Braden Smith if both came calling? As good as both of them are, I dont see how staff would take both of them with 4 OL commits already. Unless another Mattingly situation occurs, but 1) I dont see that happening and 2) None of the Olinemen are bad enough to feel like that will never see the field.

I believe so. If we get overloaded there, Mama certainly looks like a NT...

The staff would take both, even if that means taking 6 OL

We need a Luatua commitment + recruiting by him for this dream to become a reality.

Also, it's funny how much we talk about Mama on this site yet there are only 48 posts in his thread.

.... probably nonsense but Mustipher has some DT experience and is a weightroom forklifter.

Been thinking this from the start. Might appeal more to him than playing OG which isn't much of a $$$ position in the NFL.

Yeah, was thinking the same thing. Could/would he play nose?

Could? Emphatic yes. Would? I doubt he would commit to a school that wants to use him on defense. Would he after he was enrolled? Who knows.

Not nonsense. I personally like Mustipher better at DT. Although I think the best defensive film of the OL commits belongs to Alex Bars. I think he would have been a top 25 DT if evaluated on that side of the ball.

USC------Bama----------UCLA--------------------ND

IMO

Yeah, as of right now, he's saying he's wide open, but his actions and words to people close to him are all screaming USC. At this point we'd be lucky to get a visit...he's not talking up ND pretty much at all.
