I think Elmer was at Michigan for the Notre Dame-Michigan game but found himself cheering for Notre Dame and realized that was where he wanted to be and committed shortly after the game

You both are right. He was visiting Michigan, but it was an unofficial visit since it was during his Junior year.

Maybe he's so big that he gets two official visits.
Interestingly, Gorney said today or yesterday that his coach said it was going to be for the USC game. Also, Gorney was very negative regarding his academic situation.

Sorry, forgot this one. Mama is an ND type kid and they feel he could come away excited about how he fits into ND. USC and UCLA will be tough to beat due to proximity to home. But this weekend gives us a chance to make an impression.

JuJu and Redfield at safety would be scary. OL is pretty solid, but Mama is an animal. Luatua is just an all-around great dude.

1. JuJu, but only if he is willing to ball out at safety. Otherwise he drops to #3 because I don't see our WR cops being much of a liability going forward, and we have bigger gaps to fill.
2. Luatua, and I predict he ends up as a LB after us getting Heuermann, Smythe and Weishar. Heck, if he slides into an ILB role, he might be one of the more important members of the class.
3. Mama. I would be ecstatic to add him, but I prefer OL who can get out and move, and I have concerns about durability given his size. If he's the real deal though, we'd see a lot of DLs on their backs.

1. Juju Smith - IMO is a even better recruit than Redfield. Need some long rangy Safety's to go along with Max in the future.
2. Damien Mama - Future 1st round pick at OG. Kid will be a absolute monster. If we hadn't recruited OL so damn well the past 2 years he'd definitely be #1. Also could play NG if we struck out there.
3. Tyler Luatua - We have great depth at TE with Heuerman, Smythe, and Weishar over the past 2 years. If he is aggressive enough he could be a stud OLB.

Damien played RT LT and OG from what I saw on Friday. Last year at the coliseum when we played SC I saw the AD from his high school in Irish gear! I will be going to a Bosco game in the next few weeks as its my dads alma mater. They are so stacked its not even fair
