Big Lou is a Man. I love his easy going nature but he has learned to pack his lunch box on Saturdays and go to work. He has learned to be very serious and all business when he straps it on and bites down on that mouthpiece.

IMHO, Nix made the biggest play of the game. 1st quarter, Oklahoma's second possession, 3rd and 3 inside the 15 and he tips the ball and we hold OU to a field goal. It set the tone that if you want to get in this endzone, it'll take a lot more than that.

Obviously Lou is having a great year but I would hope he stays for his degree, gets a little leaner, and works on some pass rushing in the off season. Can always improve and the time to do that is while you are in school, imo.

Every game it seems like there are five to ten plays where he simply destroys the opposing center and drives him 5 yards into the backfield.

Along time ago, I said that Notre Dame began an evolution towards a modern football monster when a certain very large DT committed to us, when we didn't even have a coach on board. It was a Grace from on high then, and the big man has served as the crystalline catalyst in the middle drawing all manner of great defensive players around him.

I take nothing away from Manti in this. Manti is from Olympus. But the Big Man in the Middle is the Stone upon which everything is built. Enjoy the specialness while we have him folks.

Kid is so fast off the snap too. This was the first penalty I remember him getting, but well worth it for as fast and hard as he comes off the line.

Good to hear confirmation of what I have always suspected, he will stay until he graduate.

Maybe a lot of our vets learned a lesson from Golden and Jimmy jumping early?

What is equally amazing about how good he's been playing he seems to be getting held a lot throughout the game. There were a couple of plays on Saturday where his jersey was getting pulled all over the place and it doesn't stop him from getting that push

Don't ever take anything you hear from the internet as confirmation. Things can always change but as of now that's the plan

His actions were completely necessary, I'd be interested to see if the BC player losses any PT, as they were in the wrong on that play.
