NDFAN22,
You may or may not have a source who has a relationship to a recruit, but from several of your posts it appears that your statements waver between hearing directly from the coach and hearing from the source who heard from the coach.

Your source is in contact with coaches

The coach is your source; ie. you were on a call with him (presumably with your source)?

Now we're back to your source got the information from the coach (because your source is associated with a current recruit - but sounds like you heard this 2nd or 3rd hand)

Now you indicate that you actually sat in on meetings with coaches and players

The next post will have him doing the recruiting for ND.

Possible side effect of the "texting generation" - very poor spelling!

I think Tee wants to be back and I hope he does come back.

I'm skeptical that it will happen

I wish we knew if Tee has taken actual steps to getting back to ND like talking to the coaching staff/admissions about what he would have to do to get back

Or maybe after the bars at 4:00 AM, Tee likes to PREY. Depending on what he preys on, it could be considered weird and/or creepy. It does seem like there are fewer squirrels on campus these days. But there are other possibilities on campus too.

Put it all together and you get 2 + 2 = 5. hmmmmmm

EDIT: I have no source for this, coaches, students, RAs, nurses . . . Nothing.

Weird and creepy can be ordering a vanilla milkshake. It can also mean being found in a friend's car trunk, drinking the blood of a freshly slaughtered penguin. (I had a friend tell me this was not normal. Can anyone confirm?)

I think you need to find new friends.

Most are saying its his ACT score. BGIF was saying it before anybody else. Maybe thats just part of it and not the only thing. It's dangerous territory suggesting there's more if you don't know the story.

Looking back through the thread, I may have been the first to raise the question of a test score as it's a frequent barrier at ND BUT I don't believe I ever said that was the cause, as I didn't know.

ND's preference (requirement?) for higher test scores and for 16 core courses (substantial courses at that) have been the deal breaker for quite a few highly touted prospects over the years, I mentioned a few of them that were confirmed through public reports. I've seen no public report that I recall on Tee regarding test score/core courses.

The posts IrishMoore1 made on the 15th and 16th were the most definitive I've seen. He claimed the Test Score was the issue according to Elston. IrishMoore1's been around for awhile and I'm not familiar with him making things up. Does anyone wish to cite where he's done something like that?

Even his information is hearsay and it's possible Elston was being polite with a "company line" that the test score was the issue. If Tee is healthy (which most of you always thought he was) and he possesses NCAA Scholarship Credentials as approved by The Clearinghouse (which I think has a different name now) he'll be eligible to play at anywhere.

I haven't been able to confirm that he was enrolled AND attended classes under the terms of the NCAA's definitions. IF he did that he may have to sit out a year if he goes to a Div 1 school.

We do have a newspaper report in this thread where a JUCO coach claims Tee is one his team NOW. I don't know that coach but I don't see any reason for him to comment to his local paper unless he has some paperwork in hand.

IF any student athlete was in limbo at ND awaiting a test score or Clearinghouse approval, he could have been bored and partied as he might not have had to attend class nor team workouts in the wee hours as TP pointed out. A lack of focus might be described as "weird" by some not by anybody familiar with the "student side" of George Gipp, Paul Hornung, or the college practice ethic of Joe Montana. Gipp didn't have twitter, or home made videos, but he did have card playing, pool shooting, bars, and women. Twitter suddenly becomes pretty mild in contrast. Many ND legends of another era would not have been admitted to ND today. Start the list with Rockne. He worked in a post office for a couple of years before coming to ND to raise money for tuition (ala Rudy's steel mill days). Rock would have arrived with 1 year of eligibilty. Gipp probably would have had none between age and semipro baseball.

I don't know if the noob has a source or not. I do know his posts were poorly worded. Tats and body jewelry were "weird" not long ago. Being an advisor (I assume from the context) and posting about private meetings can't be considered "weird" if ethical.

Personally I can wait a week or three to see which roster Tee shows up on. I wish him well on his journey. ND has a history of guys like Browner, Julius Jones, and Floyd to name a few who erred along the way, suffered for it, and rose to excellence with a second bite at the apple. Best wishes.

Well, there are a number of factors at play here. It could be a sly play on words. It could be a simple typo. It could be exactly what you posit. I take a situational view on such things.

I have an "auto correct" in my brain that I've developed over the years reading internet blogs and fora. I tend to pick on those I like here and total buffoons.

Count yourself lucky to be in the first group should I see the need to bring the grammar hammer down on any of your posts.

It's a coach recruiting a kid from my old high school and in close contact with them. Yes we went on an official visit with the kid. Got to hear and see everything and more. I know it sounds different but it's true.

So you were on an official visit with a kid currently being recruited by ND?

Either 1) No, you weren't or 2) it was a kid from last cycle or before...and I highly doubt a current coach told you Tee acted "weird" or "creepy"....back in January...or any year(s) before that (because Tee would've been about 14 years old).

Perhaps you visited with a kid at some point. But it sure as hell wasn't an official visit for a '13 kid.

Good post.
Only other thing that would seem to suggest test scores is that, despite several reported visits to other D-1 programs after leaving ND, Tee hasn't signed on anywhere else yet (besides maybe a JUCO). Hard to believe that it's ND or nothing. But if it's test scores keeping him out of ND, they could also be keeping him out of USC, Washington State, Fresno State, etc.
We'll see.
