Who is likely next?

I thought the same thing when he is in coverage. But wait for the first pick (fwd to .40 sec). Once he gets the ball in his hand, he has some pretty impressive straight line speed. He is just a glider when in coverage.

At least, that's what I saw.

Edit: Rewatched and I think you're right.

It's not you, it's me, lol. I guess what I didn't like is that he seems to get burned by 2-3 yards off of the ball, then the QB underthrows it so he's able to still make a play. I guess you're right that it's probably a quickness issue, but I didn't think he caught up with ease in most of those passes.

When a CB is playing with a soft cushion like he does in the clip, it's going to look like that. On one side you have a kid back peddling until the WR gets lateral with him. On the other you have a WR running full speed. Playing that brand of CB is pretty difficult to do without really good closing speed. Which is what I saw.

Did you at least like how physical he seemed? Tell me you could see that?

Yeah, edited my last post before you submitted this, lol. Agree with the physicality, and also the soft coverage makes the separation look deceivingly overwhelming.

He doesn't have elite speed but he has good speed. His change of direction and turning of his hips looks elite. Also looks for the ball and doesn't mind throwing his body around. Looks like a very good corner recruit.

Might it be too late with him though? Seems like he has a lot of other high offers.

Ahh… didn't see the delete. I kinda got caught up with the video bogs posted, then the "top 10 most seductive movie scenes" it links after.

What were we talking about again?

I don't believe so. The teams that offered him aren't all over him, so catching up won't be that difficult. Also, most of the schools had to wait until after the season to do anything anyway due to the policy at JC.

OK...so we have these names floating out there to take up our last spots for 2014.

Who do you think actually commits next and when? Are there any before NSD?

Cage could commit on his visit Wednesday if we blew him away. Alexander could commit to any school right after his Ole Miss visit. IM could commit somewhere anytime and I wouldn't be shocked, especially after the ND visit on the 31st.

What I'd love to happen is Cage, Sawyers, Alexander, Quick, and Juju.

My guess is we only get three more commits though. Unless I'm possibly forgetting someone.

I'll be surprised if ND doesn't get a visit on the 31st in place of Tennessee. I think that will happen. If not, I think ND may be able to finagle a visit after NSD. Fluid situation, but that's my current read on things.

That'd be awesome. DT should be much clearer by then too, if Griffin visits this upcoming weekend and Cage comes in Wednesday.

Seems like Griffin might be here this weekend and Sawyers might not make it at all.

Sounds good with Griffin. There is literally a 0% chance that Sawyers doesn't visit ND. He has already stated that he will visit South Bend no matter what. He just hasn't set one up yet, but he says he'll postpone his decision past signing day if it means visiting ND.

Starting to think Griffin is more likely than Sawyers at DT.

So what's up with this? I hear the buzz going around today that Sawyers might not visit us anymore, but I don't know what it's based on. Has he told someone that he's cooled on us?

Just like Elam and Holley were pretty much locks??

Guys say they will visit but that doesn't mean they will for sure (see Allen, Kyle). Not saying Sawyer won't visit but recruiting is too fluid for those type of statements

I dont remember anyone on this site or DD that said either of those two were locks. I believe some thought we led for awhile, but I do not remember anyone considering them locks.

I think Cage will be the next commit

I am hoping for: Quick, McKenzie, Sawyer, Alexander
Probably: Cage, Griffin, Alexander, McKenzie
