What's plan B?

You think Bama would step up? (they would if they were smart)

- I'd pay $1000 on PPV to watch him take the call and the behind doors negotiations.

Next...

Plan B = Meyer 7yr / $100M

It's interesting though. The big money guys are the ones that tagged BK to replace CW early on and they got their wish. Now here we are...

How is that interesting? They wanted BK, BK hasn't been meeting expectations over 7 years and they want to move on...

So if BK isn't fired today, is it unlikely he is this year? I do not know the typical 'days after the season' for a HC to get fired.

Not wrong

Really? I was always under the impression that Patterson would have been hired if he agreed to come to South Bend before his bowl game. Kelly was willing to do it but Patterson wasn't. So I had heard.

There are so many BS rumors that go on around a coaching search. Don't believe 99% of what you read or hear.

This is what I love. Big money people want to push him out without a clue who you would hire to replace him. That's how you end up with Davie, Willingham and Weis.

How is that interesting? They wanted BK, BK hasn't been meeting expectations over 7 years and they want to move on...

Did you see what I quoted? Dw's response about them not knowing who they want.

Yes.

What's plan C?

Love the aggressiveness of the donors that want to put these plans into place, I just don't see either of these guys coming to ND without other concessions and I don't see the BoT giving in to some of their concessions.

Both of these guys have made plenty of money - they want to win championships...

Move on to what? What are the expectations? This isn't Alabama or Ohio State and never will be. LSU is a better job and they settled for Ed freaking Orgeron.

They have plans, will the 49 people on the BoT agree with them is the question.

Plan A = Offer Saban 7yr / $100M.

Quit making me horny. That investment would payoff, btw.

So, is there any actual news or even rumors for campus or anything about what is going to happen...? Even a "He's staying and that's that"???

I would assume the expectations are still high at ND. I always though doing things the "right way" is what separates ND from Alabama and OSU, not having lower expectations.

Some apparently think you can have both. What separates ND from those schools is also what keeps them from being as talented as those schools. If you want to do it the "right way", and I do, then don't expect to be competing for NC's every year. Or likely most years.

I figured it would come to this. I think if BK could leave, he would. I think if BK found a job, JS would let him go. With no better options for either party right now, both are going to be working together for at least one more year.

... and then ND makes the playoff next year and the cycle continues....

What does this even mean anymore? News flash, ND isn't the spotless child anymore. Might as well start winning.
