Estime is the one that's a different style than what we already have, appears to be more physically mature, and appears to be more bought into the program.

Obviously all that's just conjecture once the pads come on but I'd be interested who would think it would be Diggs based on what we know right now.

Notre Dame has one of the best RB duos in the country and a solid 3rd running back in Flemister. Also, BK loves experienced players in the backfield. Barring injury, I don’t see a path to real snaps for Estime or Diggs this Fall.

But, if I had to bet on one, I’d go with Estime. A truly bruising running back that could carve himself a roll in short yardage if Flemister can’t get it done.

I cannot see any way Estime doesnt see the field this year minus not being able to pick up a blitz. Physically he is ready clearly

Completely agree. Hard to see real snaps for either one.

I love that C'Bo runs hard but I think he lacks the athleticism of Estime or Diggs. If Estime can learn enough of the playbook, I think he could earn 3rd team snaps. I think Diggs needs a year in S&C but both look very capable of becoming high quality RBs. We'll see if this is a hot take

Are we counting ST's? Because Polian already called out Estime as a guy who will play ST's.

one of them will definitely play in blow outs. Williams already has a thread on his tires, they really need to watch his carries as his career progresses

I would assume that this is probably it for Kyren.

1) Shut your filthy mouth!
2) I'm not convinced his measurables get him drafted early - they want game breakers at his size
3) That said I think he has a business decision to make - with an RB lifespan he may want to go next year even if it is as an UDFA.

I don't know how early you're commenting on but I think he's going to get drafted early enough that he should leave for the NFL. 3rd to 5th rd being the latest. Kid is a stud and he's similar in size to a lot of those memphis RB's that have been getting drafted. He's a do it all type of RB and I think it's going to win over a lot of teams for mid round value.

Yeah Kyren seems like a lock for a mid round pick. And we should encourage him to leave for that. It'll be substantially easier to get elite backs on the team if they start getting drafted.

My hope is Kyren is a 2nd-4th rd RB taken after this year. That means he'll have another big year for us and it's another feather in the cap for recruiting (as others alluded)

I don't think either get a lot of snaps but Estime is the best bet to get touches in specific situations.

Tough to call. RBs are a crapshoot and what frame of mind will the NFL be in? A stark contrast in strategy occurred this past year:

2021:
- 1: Harris, Etienne
- 2: Williams
- 3: Sermon
- 4: Carter, Nwangwu, Stevenson, Hubbard

2020:
- 1: Edwards-Helaire
- 2: Swift, Taylor, Akers, Dobbins, Dillon
- 3: Vaughn, Moss, Evans
- 4: Kelley, Perine, McFarland, Dallas

So what are NFL teams thinking in 2022? Hopefully Kyren gets accurate feedback because someone of his skill level would have been likely a 3rd Rd pick in 2020 but a 4th or after this past year. Teams clearly backed off RB, even with the Etienne pick drawing ire on night one.

He also blocks well at the P5 level. He'll get taken mid round unless something dramatic happens

It's going to be a lot of fun to look back on this. I was sleeping on Diggs to a degree. I thought he moved well but I thought it'd take him a year to get the staff's attention..

doesn't seem like that's the case! I think Diggs is going to be special for us.

Yea, I already regret my pick. Diggs seems to be running away (bad pun intended) with this one so far.

According to Mcshay he needs to work on pass protection. SMH.... Dude clearly hasn't watched any film

actually it's a pretty consistent knock on him from other draft guys. I think we all have the clemson game burned in our head but he had more games that were average or below than games like clemson. It's a pretty easy thing to put on a "smaller" guy coming out of college as well.

Based on the GT game I’m ok if I see more Estime than Logan in 2022. What happened to Tyree and C’Bo. No wonder that punk went to Clemson. He wasn’t gonna see the field here at ND.
