The other thing I thought about in terms of console / PC crossover is something like the Fallout 4 settlements. Managing those with a mouse would be infinitely preferable to doing it on console.

This was a nice feature... you could even sim season games online too if I remember right. What sucks is after the pulled the plug Be whateverhisnamewas (the lead producer who always did their media) stated that the NCAA they were planning was styled to have massive customization, meaning conferences, playoffs/no playoffs, stadiums, logos. All this stuff was going to be introduced apparently. If only we could have got that last game... if all that was true it could have held us out for years.

Anyway, I'm predicting now, and almost posting this yesterday, we will hear word of an upcoming CFB game this summer. Not saying it'll come out this year, but some sort of announcement of a future game will come around June or so, just a gut feeling.

There is a small developer working on a "generic" CFB game currently, and they are hoping to add licenses with schools/conferences as they go. Sounds kind of like Pro Evolution Soccer and how they are trying to add new licenses each year, and how you can fully customize everything to do whatever you want. Not sure if it actually gets off the ground, but at least someone is trying. If they even make a little bit of headway in the market, one of the big dogs will probably finally step up and work out the kinks in the "amateurism" thing (which would probably mean rosters that are not customizable and are completely random).

As for Ben Haumiller and what he said for what they had planned for the next installment: I call total bullshit lol. It would have had an upgraded gameplay engine (whatever Madden had the year before) and a new way to recruit, maybe some more custom options for TeamBuilder stadiums and uniforms, but that's probably it.

There's no way they would have gone full-sandbox for paying customers... there would have been no reason for people to buy their future games if that were the case.

How does combat feel? Are the quests good or are they pretty standard MMORPG fare?

Standard Quests IMO. Mainly designed to level up characters. Similar to Oblivion which is the last one i played. But the world is humongous. Been playing for a year and only finished like 6 percent of the game. The 4-man online dungeons are really neat. Tough as hell. I spent 2 hours in one yesterday. There are also PVP alliance modes and a PVP Campaign. All online. It is truly massive. You have to have different builds for dungeouns versus PVP so its challenging getting the right build but they let you create up to eight characters so i have one character to do story mode and certain provisioning. I have ofhers that do PVP and blacksmithing/enchanting. All of the characters can share what others create. Trying to find a good guild right now though.

Combat is great IMO. Flows well. Not hinky pauses. Reaction times are immediate. The way the leving up goes is that you start with a race and class and level up to 3 skill lines relative to that class. You level up to 50. Then you move into veterans level with champion points. I am a level 50 Nord and have 300 champion points. Champion points are where your specific character is really made. Its crazy how tailored you can makenyour character.

Yeah I was looking at that game yesterday...

as for Ben I thought so too but figured the playoff option, old school option, BCS option may have been legit. That would have been huge.

You would think what would work is making the rosters entirely random, but allowing people to customize. That way, everything is on the customer. Don't include the real hometowns, heights, weights, classes, of each team. However, allow players to customize.

The problem was never that we could take RB33, and turn him into Josh Adams. It was that RB33 was a 6'2, 225lb, Jr. RB from Warrington Township, PA. Too close to being Josh Adams. However, if you have rando RB24 who is 5'11, 215, Fr. Sure customize him to being whoever.

I agree with you, but if any company is going to take on the task, they're probably going to hedge all bets and make absolutely sure that customers can't reproduce player likenesses.

It's not on EA when the customers edit the rosters, but it's *kind of* on them that their online servers are being used to distribute roster files that DO contain player likenesses in mass quantities.

Looks like fake ass PUBG.

Sent from my SM-N920T using Tapatalk

It is cartoonish compared to PUBg but plays so much better. PUBg on Xbox is horrible right now, for good reason as it’s still in development but it should have been free.

So,... there's a submarine in Fallout??? The story continues... I've also decided to beat mode each of my settlements one at a time, max them all out as pimp as I can... I'm gonna start with Sanctuary, re-do everything and make a concrete wall that would make our POTUS proud.

I don't usually post in this thread because I don't game much anymore, but have each of the PS through PS4s, and the Metal Gear franchise was always my favorite series.

I don't even have an online membership, or whatever that $50 charge is for my PS4, but heard Metal Gear "Survive" is coming out, and it's an online set up.

Anyone getting that? Would love to hear how it is.

You still don't have to pay to play online with the PS4 you just get better stuff and faster connect if you are a PS member

So has anyone play the Assassin Creed Origins yet. I thought it is one of the best Creed games so far I loved running around Egypt raiding tombs and the multiple side missions. I had Bayek maxed out by the time I was half way thru and a lot of the harder solider was still a pain to kill. The worst is the damn War elephants I still have beaten any yet except the one that chase Bayek and Caesar.

As my extraprofessional commitments continue to pile up, I haven't had time to game at all for months. So my siblings and I are instead trying to get together for some good old-fashioned table-top gaming once or twice a month now instead. We took our first run at Gloomhaven last Saturday night, and it was ridiculously fun. Highly recommended if you enjoy dungeon crawls.

Love board games but it would be a hell of a chore to convince anyone in my family to play something so explicitly nerdy with me. I can usually get them to play Catan, Carcassonne, Seven Wonders, and Ticket to Ride, but they've been holding out on Small World.

I highly recommend Rivals for Catan. It's a card-based two-player game set in the world of Catan and I think it's as good as or better than Settlers.

We (My wife, daughters, sis, mother and sometimes a couple of my friends) play Catan, we have numerous expansions and I also have OG Hero Quest still in really good shape, we play that every now and then. We also play Boss Monster, Quiddler, Apples and card games like that. My youngest loves the Pictopia Disney game and we play that with her often.

Do you consider the expansions worth it? We only have the 5 to 6 player expansion for the base game.

Yes, I do, adds different dynamics and such... one of them the cities and knights one I believe add some pretty diabolical wild cards to the game. We have that, the Seafarers and one other one I think... though we mostly do the cities and sea ones.

You beautiful bastard. I got that game for Christmas when I was 9 years old-- best gift I ever received. Some of my fondest childhood memories are playing that game with my dad:

My copy is still in good shape, too. Played a few scenarios with my older two boys a couple years ago, but they were a bit too young for it. Ought to pull it out and try again. I've also been meaning to try Mice and Mystics with them, too:

I used to have two of the expansions, Return of the Witchlord and Keeler's Keep but i have no clue what happened to those.

It's like the most aesthetically pleasing game ever.

Yup. Only problem with it is that it wasn't very well balanced. Got too easy once you bought some defensive gear for your heroes. Advanced Hero Quest was much more challenging.

Is Mice and Mystics like a knockoff Redwall board game?
