I liked 4 much better than 3 I know that but damn, all other open world games, Elder Scrolls, GTA, Witcher usually had at least a bunch of side stuff to do... I mean even the help a settlement stuff seems to have gone away.
The World Health Organization is going to recognize “Gaming Disorder” as a health issue. Just throwing that out there for y’all.
For those who I am referring to: Did Fallout 4 drive you crazy as it was really impossible to do everything without multiple playthroughs/saves?? It slightly irked me and I immediately thought of some here who openly like to experience everything.
Yeah, I'm not very effective at taking out infantry but I'm pretty solid at ship-to-ship combat as well as ship-to-objective (walkers, tanks, etc.)That was one thing I could never master in the first one.
I'd get into a fighter during Supremacy or Walker Assault and try to target ground troops, but I'd end up kamikaze-ing myself into the dirt after having done almost zero damage.
SO I played Fallout 4 for the first time in a long time... sided with the Minutemen and destroyed the Institute and suddenly the game just seems.... over?? A few other missions disappeared, I got a decent cut scene and now there seems to be nothing left to do at all... no side missions, nothing... I can't even get more minutemen 'helps a settlement' mission now.
Kind of frustrating... Any help from ulk or others who played this game? Are there any DLCs that are worth it? I'm having fun playing all of a sudden and bam, game ends.
There's probably still plenty of side missions and hidden things you haven't done yet. Have you explored the entire map and gone to ever POI? Have you been through the maze at least once? Did you do the DLC? I don't care for the Radiant quests myself (I think Whisky touched on them from Preston Garvey and others). Radiant quests to me are just about pointless. There's no story to them, little variation, they're basically just mind numbing repetition where the only thing that changes is the scenery. Bethesda catered to the fanboys that wanted the unlimited levels with that one. I prefer limited levels and crafting a character that isn't god in everything. More specialized, if you will.
I like Fallout 4, but I was a bit disappointed with some of the changes they made that were a departure from all the previous games. Removing Karma really pissed me off. They really mailed it in with the dialogue changes too, abusing the "But thou must" trope. I like knowing that my dialogue choices actually lead to other outcomes or effect the game, but more often than not dialogue choices A, B, C, and D all lead to outcome A. That's annoying as fuck.

I think there's a huge opportunity for a video game developer to allow roster management and other similar functions for console games to be done on a PC.Anyone play FIFA18? This weekend I finally started a manager mode. I really like the new negotiation feature, as well as being able to delegate negotiations. They can be a little tedious, and it would be nice if you could speed it up without having to skip the conversations, but nice added feature.

I'm like eight years into my Manager Mode on Legendary... about six or so years with Celtic and now the manager of Newcastle...I have a beastly team right now. I'm also the manager of Scotland and won the Euros one year. I like the new negotiations too but they get old, they need real press conference cut scenes and they need to keep year to year stats of players.

So no one is playing Elder Scrolls?

Do they still charge a monthly fee?
I still have Oblivion and Skyrim, haven't played either in at least a year but that can always change... I still have not beaten either though I believe I'm right at the end of Skyrim.
Let's say you play FIFA on console and you want to create a custom player. Doing that on a PC or even your mobile phone is way faster than dicking through the menus with joysticks and triggers.I play fifa on PC. I never use the keyboard and mouse but depending on what you are getting at here, you might be on to something.

No. There is an ESO membership but its not required. It allows you to access all the DLC and costumes, crown crates and stuff. Nothing to improve the character or skills. You still have to do that in game. It does give you an unlimited craft bag and 1600 crowns each month.

I play Overwatch a lot. I'd love to be able to log into my account during a slow day at work and change up my hero skins. All of this could be easily synced up with cloud saves.
EA briefly went this way with online dynasty/franchise in NCAA/Madden. There were some quirks and limitations, but if they would have kept making NCAA games and stuck with it for Madden, it would have been great with yearly improvements and bug fixes.
It was super convenient to take care of weekly recruiting on the computer in NCAA. Scouting and assigning points was a breeze with click-and-drag.
It was good for getting everyone through offseason tasks quickly, as well, if you were in a large online dynasty like IE had for a while. The only downside was that "Position Changes" didn't differentiate between the different OLB positions, and it didn't always account for Athletes properly when you tried to switch them to a true position. So, you could do it online and think you got your LB positions set up properly, only to get on the console and see that you have 7 ROLBs and zero LOLBs. Then you get assigned a walk-on at LOLB and have to cut someone good. That sucked.
