Also, rumors starting to pick up that 2017 CoD will be a WWII game...
CoD is getting my loyalties back if true, even though they got beat to the punch by Battlefield.
Battlefield is WW1. I'm going to remain skeptical of CoD. We shall see.
It'll be WW2... with modern tech and wall climbing....
About to finish up the main campaign in my 2nd playthrough of Witcher III (New Game +, Death March). Have nearly mastered the game mechanics/ perfected my build.
Have any of you seen anything about For Honor? Currently streaming on Twitch. This game looks incredible.

Yeah, I meant simply in terms of going back to "historical" warfare, and not that running-on-walls-trying-to-be-Titanfall shit
will be all the experimental NazI crazy syfi stuff, CoD advance ww2 warfare

How is Battlefield??? My wife asked me if I wanted it for Christmas, and I said no, because I don't play all that much anymore, but now, I'm playing Battlefront ALL the time now, lol
My oldest wants a mic......he's 9, and I'm not quite sure I want him being mic'd up playing video games, lol

Kids at that age normally say awful things about my mother. Not sure I'd hook this kid up.
Anywho, I worry that FH won't actually follow through on the surface visuals, and it won't be as strategic or important to learn how to properly fight with differing styles as the trailers make it seem.
The visuals themselves look incredible, and it's nice to get a melee-based multi-player finally. I'll pretend every battle is somewhere in Seven Kingdoms while 13-year-olds scream into their mics about whatever is cool now. But I worry that the game may get stale quickly.
Guess nobody else got Nioh. It's fucking amazing though. Like they put Dark Souls, Ninja Gaiden and Diablo in a blender.
the combat in For Honor looks very rock paper scissors to me, very shallow.
The Knights vs Vikings vs Samurai is kinda dumb to me too, better if it was a more historically accurate game
Compared to what? It obviously doesn't have the tactical depth of something like Street Fighter V, but it's not trying to be that. It looks to be a mix between Dark Souls PvP and MOBA-style team fights, but with a higher skill factor.
My issue is that it appears to be pretty similar to Dark Souls PvP but Dark Souls isn't worth it as a PvP game alone.
You know, I've given it some thought, and it's weird to say this considering that I try to stay away from hyperbole when it comes to video games but I sincerely think that a case could be made that the Witcher 3 is the best game ever made.
Co-sign. Without hesitation. Can't think of another title that even comes close.
hmmm, I might have to try it out... for open world games my fav is still Red Dead...
