I'm thinking of getting Madden,.. I'm super bored sitting here waiting for FIFA and MAFIA 3... thoughts? Anyone play it yet? I assume it's like every other recent EA product and basically just a roster update?
I think the running game has improved a bit. Sometimes blocks get blown up legitimately, and other times the hole opens up and there are realistic cut-back lanes. Their best take on the run game yet, IMO.
However, the passing game is almost no different from last year. The same passing controls, and it's easy to abuse the "aggressive" user-catch mechanic if you have a stud WR. For example, AJ Green is unstoppable on anything less than Madden if he's running deep and you lob the ball in his general vicinity. Just mash the triangle button at the right time and you're good.
Pass rushing is improved a bit. Open-field tackling still perplexes me.
It's basically a roster update... but if you enjoy running the ball 75% of the game, the improvements there might be enough to make it worth it.
At the very least, you can do a Fantasy draft in a franchise a few times and build some fun teams until FIFA drops.
