Yeah you can do save states on the emulator, but can't truly "reset" the game, so I got stuck in limbo.

There's a part of the game that forces you to save/reset though? Honestly it's been awhile since I've played it so I don't remember. I only remember having to save when shutting down.

I'm almost positive it was part 2, MAYBE 3. There is a part where you have to reset to make it "the next day" to make it daytime again or something along those lines. It's been almost 20 years, so my memory is foggy.

I've been playing something else too. Obsidian Entertainment (Fallout: New Vegas, Knights of the Old Republic 2, South Park: Stick of Truth) created a game called Pillars of Eternity. Many of the people at Obsidian were also the publishers for the Baldur's Gate I & 2 on PC back in the day. Pillars of Eternity very much plays like Baldur's Gate between the party mechanics and the D&D concepts (Without the D&D specific spells and such, they're renamed). From a questing/RPG standpoint it's true to Obsidian in that there are a ridiculous number of possible dialogue choices and paths you can take when questing. There's also factions and reputation. Overall it's been pretty fun, good characters and story. I believe it supports both active combat (With AI), or turn based movement/actions, but so far I've just been using the active combat. Classes you can play as include: Barbarian, Chanter (Somewhat like a Bard), Cipher (Something like a Psion or Warlock I gather, haven't met one yet), Druid, Fighter, Monk, Paladin, Priest, Ranger, Rogue, and Wizard.

Finished the main quest and side quests on this one early this morning. I had a hard time putting it down the last few weeks. Logged 89 hours on Steam, give or take 5-10 hours or so where I left it running for lunch or something. Whiskey, you may enjoy this one if you haven't played it. There's a definitely a lot of dialogue, but there's plenty of combat too and some very challenging fights at times (Full size dragons are a bitch and nearly impossible, even on Normal). Lots of factions, lots of quest options.

I'm already itching to start a new character and play through as a "bad guy" so to speak, making some difference choices the second time around. There's two DLCs I can complete with my first character too, so I'll probably do those first. Supposedly the DLC is not as heavy on plot and more combat oriented, although I very much enjoyed the plot of the main game, really made you think. Overall it was a very good isometric, D&D based RPG and I recommend it to anyone that enjoyed the old Baldur's Gate games or Neverwinter Nights.

I ended up getting it for for about $25 on a sale a few weeks ago, definitely worth it at that price, although I'd get it at $45 too knowing what I know now. Worth putting in the Steam wishlist and waiting for another sale.

How are you liking it so far? Haven't played any 6s yet so I'm not 100% sold but it seems much smoother and like they fixed the major flaws with 16

I only got to play Online Versus Play a few games, so I don't have a lot to go on. But I didn't see any 'fanboy' shots going in, so that was encouraging. I need a few more games to get a better picture, but so far it looks good. I've notice the physics of hitting seems to have had an upgrade. I won't be able to play more till late sunday.

Looks like a Lucio Brazil map.

Maybe. This is potentiality exciting. Seasonal skins/maps would be great and this is the first time they've done a tie in with real world events like this. I'm really excited to see the support going forward.

(Plus a chance to see a Santa-themed Roadhog... Plz Blizzard.)

I didn't care for it I'm replaying the main game and I can't get over how good the writing is. Marston's dialog is so nuanced and clever.

'Camp is uncomfortable with the fact that you spend the entire second half of the game killing banditos. As an aspiring bandito himself, it never quite sat right.

Who else is getting No Man's Sky today?

I'm not getting it yet, but I'm interested. Someone thought it looked like a bit of Minecraft, Elite Dangerous, Star Citizen, and/or Eve rolled into one. I agree, in some respects I see things pulled from each of those games. The size of the universe doesn't really impress as much as it scares me a bit. Elite Dangerous has a rather large universe as well, and that universe feels rather empty all together. It's been described as a 5000 mile long pool that's one foot deep. When you have a universe that large it's impossible to fill it with meaningful content everywhere, and it's even harder for people to meet each other due to the distance two people have to travel to meet. As such, most galaxies/solar systems end up being very, very empty and lifeless.

I'll probably pick it up on a sale much later, I have a number of games similar to this already like Empyrion and Evochron Legacy. I'd be interested in your thoughts once you've put 30-40 hours in at least.

Footage has scared me off. Looks technically unstable on the PS4.

I read somewhere that it made the reviewers ps4 crash 3 times. To be fair, it was from before the day 1 patch.

First impressions that I've seen have been positive, but says it's frustrating at times because of resource farming. It sounds pretty similar to Minecraft.

I love that the developers are keeping an eye on the must absurdly named planets and creatures.

There's something about these infinitely generated worlds that consoles will have a hard time supporting imo. You see a lot of these survival type games with procedurally generated worlds on PC, and a gaming PC has the stones to do it. I'm a bit skeptical when I see a universe as large as No Man's on console. I've already experienced a number of crashes with 7 Days to Die on console, something I don't really get on my PC copy. From what some people have said it's just a memory leak, but from my experience the larger we explore/build the map, the worse the crashing gets.

Right now playing UFC 2 just to hold me over before Madden.

But of course I would definitely love to have EA Sports NCAA Football back from hiatus.
