70's would be black cleats and the logo would've been straight black, no gold outline. Int he early 80's they started putting some color in shoe design.

I like it. The Academic Seal would be dope. This would also work if you went with a gold ND monogram outlined in green on shoulder and helmet, or a gold shamrock outlined in green on shoulder and helmet.

Me like too with plain black no frill shoes not the gold booties they wear now-man I wish they would scrap the gold slippers. It looks bush and resembles a chorus line.
