I think the larger point is that adults look like dweebs in jerseys. The age limit is there to ensure that you stop wearing jerseys in young adulthood. He was responding to a mailbag question someone asked about their work having a jersey day but their refusal to participate. Hence the "if you have to wear a jersey..." The larger rule is, don't wear jerseys once you become an adult male. Females can wear jerseys, but that puts out a different signal...

I grant exceptions to old school types.

Example, bought my dad a Jack Lambert Steelers jersey. Lambert was dropping the boom when papa bear was in elementary school. I'll never buy my dad a Big Ben jersey...he's 15 years older than him. That's weird. I see old dudes wearing Carson Wentz jerseys around Fargo all the time and it creeps me out.

Home is okay. Stadium is still chill, though I prefer a nice polo or perhaps a sweatshirt(no hood, those are for peasants). Going to the mall or some shit? Nah fam. Put it away. You are better than that.

I've always liked the merit sticker look. By the end of the season the great player's helmet is covered in them. I know it can't/won't happen with the game day helmet, but this is pretty cool.

Eh. They're given out for damn near anything. Yeah Jaylon Smith, Reuben Foster, Joey Bosa will make enough plays to cover a helmet in stickers. But look at a Buckeyes helmet in the scUM/OSU game and you'll see a ton that are covered. It's like a participation trophy

Yes. Besides being ugly, though, they've tried to expand into areas that they don't have credibility in. It takes time to build up brand equity. You have to create a great product, first, not just put a athlete under contract.

Also, their name is problematic. "Under Armour" still speaks to its roots in shimmels and compression wear.

They're doing well and growing in Europe, but they just are losing ground in the US and that's a problem. I like UA stuff, but it is expensive.
