We need a cameo from Queen B in her lingerie for old times' sake.

Has anyone seen Dead to Me? Or Snowfall?

I literally just got railroaded by a SUPER far left progressive co-worker claiming that the reason I didn't like the new Beauty and the Beast (which I never said) was because they made Belle more femenist and I'm a white male so of course I wouldn't like that.
Took the kids to see the new Lion King for my wife's birthday last night. We both love the OG Disney movies and we both felt they did a great job with this one.
*Off topic but I need to vent. SERIOUSLY!? God, I'm so over this group of people who pull this BS.
That's idiotic. They did nothing significantly different with Belle. They made Gaston's lacky appear to be gay but other than that...still the same. People see what they want to see I guess.
Mr. Roger's movie looks really good
Just wait until she gets in your ear about the new Ariel lol

Disney admitted that he was gay, but even if you take that out of the movie it is still a terrible movie.
Didn't you hear? I'm racist because I'm against changing the literal race of a classic Disney character based in Denmark from the 1800s. Imagine the rage if they changed Tiana the Frog Princess from a black character to a white one. Oh forgot, their silly rules don't work that way because they're illogical.

Ariel is a fictional sea creature that decides she wants to be human.
Anybody feeling positively OR negatively about her skin tone is doing too much lol.
If this was a new movie based on the Hans Christian Anderson story then sure, but people are annoyed because this is an adaptation of the Disney animated version with a character they already know and have a visual representation of.
I'd love to see this attempted with the princess and the frog or Mulan just to see the hypocrisy of the people who think the little mermaid change is nbd.

If you change Tiana, of course black people are going to be upset that you took away the first black Disney Princess.
And you can't have Mulan if the lead isn't Asian. You can't have a Pocahontas that isn't Native American. That's just a reality based on their stories.
Comparing those to the original princesses, where cultures weren't central to their stories, is apples and oranges IMO.
This is stupid to even talk about but all the original Disney princesses take place in European counties 100's of years ago. So I would their cultures had plenty to do with the stories. Little Mermaid is supposed to be in the water off of Norway
Right, but Ariel isn’t Norwegian. She’s a sea creature lol. The story doesn’t change if you change her ethnicity.
Gattaca is arguing that they are changing the imagery of a beloved childhood classic, which I understand (my wife’s favorite Disney princess is Ariel, so she agrees with him lol). But at the same time, the story itself is no different regardless of representation. Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Ariel... their stories don’t change with their skin tone.
Tiana, Pocahontas, Milan, and even Snow White (lol)... they’d skin tone is essential to their story.
I see the merit in holding firm in some places and not others, is all.

Started watching Designated Survivor and thought the first season was great, 2nd season good and then Netflix took over the show and it is horrible now
Seen season 1 of Snowfall and thought it was great. Don't know why I haven't watched season 2.
