Interesting and I agree. I wonder what Sark could do with him.

Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk 2

Thing is, he is a statue. He's Barkley with probably a stronger arm. Sark talks about wanting a more mobile QB back there (his QB at UW wasn't really a dual threat but at least he could move), but his first signature QB commit is a statue?

And he accepted a commit from a RAW 3 star QB who is a superb athlete (but so skinny I can't see him playing a different position effectively) but a poor passer (from the same school as Lee, Woods, Adoree and Farmer); that kid couldn't be more opposite than Town. There is no way in hell they can run the same offense.

Gun to my head, I'll take playing against a statue that can throw over an effective dual-threat any day.

Probably should ask this here, what is the word on USC and adoree? Could they land him too?

They very well may. They are putting together a nice class filled with highly ranked guys at every position of need.

Good Luck David Sills??? Lol I just remembered about him

haha I was just about to post about him. I guess that Kiffin scholarship offer isn't good 5 years later.

I think by all accounts he'll be a D-1 prospect though, so he should be fine.

No reason we shouldn't but we have to hang on to Barnett and surround him with talent if we have to deal with Town at SC and possibly Rosen at Stanford if he gets that offer

Found this hilarious and free Kobe is the biggest douche ever. Claimed last year USC was not losing any recruits and 100% sure that USC was getting MT6 and Ashawn Robinson. Not losing Vanderdoes and Ramsey. Guy is the biggest USC homer and some think he is an insider. This is today's work. He was run off the MB last year by decker of all people.
Some various recruiting stuff

First of all there will be 2015 kids next weekend and there should be some commits early in the year.
USC leads huge for a lot of 2015 kids such as Green, Iman, Houston, Zach Robertson, etc.
We do not lead for Lucier or Scrappy, but the time is still early.
I wonder if we don't want any part of Broadus because of his dad. I think his presence around the program brought a lot of negativity and jealousy from the NCAA and the SEC who runs the NCAA and Equis St Brown is visiting next weekend who is in the same mold as Broadus. USC just might want to stay out of the limelight with this recruit, but that is just a guess of mine.
Didn't want to put this on the title due to lurkers, but USC is aware of a lot of shenanigans around the Ajax recruitment. As usual they are not coming from USC or even UCLA-this is a virgin conference in terms of cheating.
First of all, no matter where Ajax goes(and we believe he goes to USC), this is a kid who is a good kid. He lives with his sister in LA for the past three years. He hasn't been visited by his parents in that time nor has he visited them. Ajax is also 18 years old so needs no permission on the LOI.
Tenhessee is the parents choice, but the parents have also signed off on Ajax making his own decision and if that decision is USC then they are fine with that as they believe USC coaching staff has done a very good job on convincing them that their son will be fine at USC. Within his family, he is closest to his sister.
UT has suddenly found a basketball coach with a pre existing relationship with Adorees father and they are trying to leverage that with a free plane trip to come down to UT and just hang out. This bball coach hasn't spoken to Ajax father in years, but in the SEC you know how that goes. UT is actually late to the party on this stuff as LSU offered over 10k in cash and prizes to the family to come to LSU and UT is just playing catchup as is Florida. In SEC country, this is how recruiting goes and we get so upset when we hear this stuff on a daily basis and how USC got punished. Other than ORegon, the Pac 12 is a very clean conference and I still believe that might change if they beat the trash out of an SEC team in the natty or another big game. Of course the Nike line would have to be crossed and I think that is what protects them along with their not so great record against the SEC.
Ajax is a unique recruitment in that his family is essentially in SEC country(st Louis), but the kid is in LA. They don't usually pull that stunt on west coast kids because these kids may turn them in and the LA media will blow it up if they get wind of it.
Ajax isn't too happy to hear of his dads involvement in things like this. The best word I can use to describe his parents is completely ignorant. They don't know about this game and what is legal or not. A new rule in the NCAA this year says that on OV's we can only pay for the kids plane flight, not the parents at all. USC , of course like other Pac 12 schools , is following this rule. WHen presented to Ajax family their reaction was that Les Miles told us he can get us all down there. This isn't Cam Newton dad situation, but I think this guy can be dangerous to any school that gets his son in that he is looking for an opportunity. Just my opinion on that one.
I still think we get Ajax, but even if we don't, understand that this is a very good kid who has a lot of other issues going on. His surrogate father has been a Serra coach and his surrogate mom is his sister.
Bar Milo-USC v UCLA
Zach Okun-USC looking good if they push for it.
BTW-pretty muchthe entire Booker T Washington national champs team returns in Florida and they believe that the 2015 class down there is a great one as well. FSU and USC are the clubhouse leaders for 2015 recruiting national champs.
Josh Rosen, rumors are Stanford coach doesn't like him and they wont offer. Other rumors are they are waiting to get Chryst in and then will offer Rosen after LOI day so as not to scare Kellen. Rosen is better and in fact better than any 2014 QB this year as is Town. IF Stanford offers< I think they get him.

Sills to Michigan apparently coming soon as well..

Seriously? Does he get to bring his daddy's paid mercenaries Bigelow and Rodgers with him too? Or does Michigan just get future rights to "players" from that "school"?

Woah. This was expected, but after spring practice IF he lost out to Kessler. That leaves them with only Kessler, Browne, and a true freshman 3 star who if he were to ever have to play his first two would be a glorified RB back there. If Kessler gets hurt, they'll have to play Max Browne like we did with Rees...absolutely no running and just pray he doesn't get hurt. Think that puts them at 70 or 71 scholarships now (assuming they fill all 19 recruiting spots next week) with no possible way of adding more players unless they promote walk-ons to scholarship status. Yikes.

I think it makes sense for him to do it now. Odds were he wasn't going to beat Kessler. So better to figure out where you're going now and practice with your new school ASAP.

My buddy from Bama said he will land in T-Town.

Oh no doubt...the difference between he and let's say, Kiel, is that Wittek is graduating early, which I didn't know. So being eligible right away, as long as he graduates, makes perfect sense. I haven't checked with any of my USC friends yet, but it sounds exactly like what Coker and Alabama are doing.

Article on ESPN said that Max graduates and still has two years of eligibility when he goes to the next school? Wow. So...he redshirted then, and graduates by the end of his Junior year, and gets to start right away at he next school? That worked out well for him.

I was reveling in SC's misfortune ... until I realized that we are in a very similar QB situation: expected starter; RS frosh; very raw true frosh. Wish we had a veteran backup in the mix. As bad as he played against SC last year, I kinda wish Hendrix had stuck around.

I agree. Plus Wittek will have two years at the new school, right? It just makes sense. EDIT: should have read further down ...

Just took a look at USC's class, and while it sucks they got Jackson and Smith, I don't think either will be too much of a thorn in our side. Most of their talent is at interior O-Line and defensive backfield (unless Smith or Jackson flip to offense). With that being the case, our O-Line should be talented to open up enough of a running game so that neither DB can really impact the game, and the pass rushers we brought in this class should be able to run by and/or over their OTs without them having a gamebreaking WR to dump the ball off to. With a few exceptions (Ty Isaac, Max Browne and Kenny Bigelow), the same holds true with their last class. In short, I still like our chances against them in future years even if they did land more "elite" guys.

Not to mention, Mama is playing one year and going on his mission so who knows what will happen with him. I'm not worried about SC at all. We are better than them again and continue to build the necessary depth in the trenches to wear them out.

Figured they'd be looking for a way to shed his commitment anyway, but he could do worse than MSU.
