These fools are so worried about keeping to a 1920s style field, that they have forgotten the tradition that is MOST important at ND; fielding a very good football team, while still maintaining academic integrity. A grass field is nothing, if we end up with a bunch of Johnny Douchebags, and Famous Jameises, on campus. However, keeping the tradition of being a STUDENT-athlete, and a moderately good citizen, will more than overshadow a few relatively minor changes to the gameday experience inside of the stadium.
You have to keep your priorities in line with what is most important. And a block ND at midfield should be pretty far down the list. But, I guess some people just have to have SOMETHING to complain about.
I find it a bit amusing they're saying you can own a piece of history, and yet the grass was installed in 2013. It's not like it was the original grass they transplanted from Cartier field or anything. The website even says this grass was installed in 2013.
