I actually mentioned this is their gameday thread back then, but they're thin on the line after that. I'm not sure if they have flexibility on the roster to compensate, but they're a couple injuries away from having very few experienced blockers in the game against us.

He was only suspended two games though. He would have been back against us.

Something else came up. Within one day, his mantra went from embracing the suspension to transferring. I think something else must be up and the suspension was involved in some way.

Venric Mark off to West Texas A&M:

"This is an hour and half from my mom," Mark said. "It's the best fit."

Mark said he was interested in many FBS schools, including Baylor, Houston, Texas State, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Kansas, and that some were willing to apply for an NCAA waiver for his immediate eligibility.

"But I couldn't gamble with my last year with no guarantees," Mark said.

Mark announced last week he would leave Northwestern. Mark was going to be suspended for at least a portion of the season following a violation of rules. He declined to expand on reasons for his departure aside from citing health issues involving his mother and grandmother.

"I will get my Northwestern degree," Mark said. "The is no bad blood with Northwestern at all. Me and Coach Fitz [Pat Fitzgerald] still talk. We are still family."

Outside of Mark and Arby Fields, who transferred to LSU to play Baseball in '11, NW has had three transfers in five years.

according to the um dude larez or something like that was on the bill king show...according to him peppers has some kind of lower leg issue involving bone chips which is why isn't playing...also states he likes the campus life there..

This. And there are scenarios where if you compromised your amateur status before ENROLLING in college you can be cleared permanently ineligible.

Gruden is to coaching vacancies as Braxton Miller is to QB vacancies. Only difference being Miller will most likely transfer to one of those locations and Gruden seems content to stick with his current job.
