I'm very happy that this has been resolved and hope that TP will feel comfortable participating in this forum. Also, anybody that would think that either Wooly or HCTI would do something like this hasn't really been paying attention to these guys posts. These guys are not crack pots. They are intelligent thoughtful people, at times argumentative, maybe stubborn, but always intellectually so. Would have bet the house that it was not a regular poster on IE.

We have WAY too much "Virtual Testosterone" which manifests on IE. The "ideal" [almost] situation that can exist now going into the future is:

1). Turning Point keeps active and does his thing however enigmatically he feels he must do it; [Applause for the resolution, needless to say];
2). HereComeTheIrish keeps active and "storms the battlements" regularly with his own unique feelings about things, adding spice to IE life;
3). Woolybug keeps active adding his energizing zest for all things that the site needs lots of. Plus, Vegans can't quit in the face of carnivorous irrationality [just ain't right];
4). All of us get off one another's freight a bit, and regard those who irritate our guts as sociological amusements adding data to our future best-selling book about "Off-Center Whackos on the Internet".

I'm an oddball for someone on an internet forum. I relinquish my name. Most anybody else would do their best to never expose themselves. They keep the internet masses from becoming personal. Now you're asking someone on the internet to share personal details.

It's not TP's fault that you were a suspect in this crime. It's yours and those who attacked you. Yours because you created an internet "adversary". Openly attacking him on a forum where many hold him to high regards. And theirs because they shouldn't have done that. No one told them to do that. They should have left TP to his own battle(s).

I apologize for their stupid actions, but just be happy that TP already apologized to you and stop expecting more, more, more from him.

And what credibility do you need to post here? It's an open forum. I still respect you as a poster. I just get sick of your picking on TP (and everyone else always fighting his battles for him). I know you're not a bad guy. I consider you a friend. Since when have you given a **** about what other people think?

Well said OMM. I'm glad that things got sorted out and TP is back doing his thing. I come to this site to get AWAY from all of the crazy horse-poop that occurs daily in the real world and was sick to my stomach when the TP news came down. You know Beau. I was going to let it go. But after saying this:

I received a series of about 20emails over the last 2 days from members on here that were very inappropriate and to threaten me and my family. Finding addresses of my family members and sending them to me, I hope you feel proud. Peace.

Then, TP is gone for 15 or 20 days. And I have heard what some people said.

It is a lot different being Wooly and HCTI in this situation than anybody else. I think you were a little rough on him. Afterall as it turns out, Wooly and HCTI did nothing. If you are going to publically chastise anyone, I think it should be the posters that PM'ed these guys bull shiit. They did something WRONG. After all, I took out and out garbage from one poster too, and I didn't say anything, but people do believe the lies, and weak minded people are just hurtful, and it takes a toll.

This situation taught me a lot about this place.

It will never be the same for me, frankly.






Next time. Do us a solid and say it publicly before you leave us to your minions. Your silence was a sentence for me and HCTI. To be honest, the guy that did this to you probably got the exact opposite effect he was looking for. You probably gained cred for the respectful way that you left (I mean that, i'm not being patronizing). Now that you are back, people that disagreed with your methods in the past have been ostracized too far to return to credibility, despite having nothing to do with your threat.

This will probably be my last response to you. It's just not worth it for me anymore, and human nature prevailed. That will probably mean that my posting will slowly dwindle to nothing, but oh well... every rose has it's thorn... btw though, I would love to get more info on who this person was. You don't have to give out their name specifically, it would just be good to get a confirmation that someone was actually pinpointed in this situation. After all, it was left to be assumed that someone was indeed caught. Who caught them? How did they find out who it was? What was the end result? I think some of us that were vilified for this deserve an explanation of what exactly happened.

I did call them out. I called them PM'ing HCTI and Wooly stupid. Along with all other times people try to fight TP's battles for him.

I would defend TP if he needed it, but I would do the same for Wooly or HCTI. At times, those two have been some of the friendliest guys I know on this site. They both treat me kindly and for that I will have their back when they need it.

But at the same time, I will be completely honest with my friends even when the truth hurts.

I think it's dumb when any poster holds a public grudge with another.

I also think it's even more dumb to verbally attack other posters over matters you know very little about. (Even though I'm sure I'm friends with many of those who did this, they should know I think it was very, very wrong to do.)
