I'll agree Tommy could recruit/manage the QB room better but he's winning at the Xs and Os. Everyone in the stadium knew what we were going to do all night but he figured out how to do it effectively.

Loved seeing him rush down to the field from the booth to hug Pyne after the TD to Mayer

The touchdown drive right before half was just perfection.

Took up almost 6 minutes. They ran 9 straight times and Clemson couldn’t do a damn thing to stop it. Perfectly timed roll out and dump off to Mayer. Then we finally have Pyne keep a zone read for a walk in.

Masterful.

The fact that he left the booth early to be down there on the sidelines says a lot to me about who he is as a coach and the relationship he has with his team.

The TD pass to Mayer at the end was brilliant.
Getting the OC Staff some reps!!!!! Lmao. King level shit right there.

Imagine Dabo looking across the field with 4 minutes left and seeing Tommy over there
and not in the box.

The best part was the game wasn't over and TR had to throw the headset on while on the sidelines. I was sitting there laughing at the end.

Might have been mentioned elsewhere but I’m kinda wondering how much of a role Heistand played in the game plan. Was really cool seeing the blocking concepts that allowed for the line to open up run lanes even with the infamous “stacked box”.

I mean, back in the good old days damn near every team ran into a “stacked box” when a 4-4 defense was really common. That run game was a real blast from the past.

Anyhow, great team win all around.

Rees is a pretty good play caller to the O’s strengths. A lot of these herp derps can’t see it after Hiestands total fail earlier in the year.

I don't think it was necessarily Harry's fault, not 100%. Patterson wasn't 100%, Fisher and Correll hadn't played with the others much as a unit. Once that stuff changed the OL fell into place.

Yeah that was pretty awesome. Lots of pent up frustration let out there.

On the bolded, Freeman actually called that pop pass. Which is also awesome.

In the video with Mayer and Freeman talking about that play call there was some talk about Pyne being shocked at the call when it came in, here is his reaction to it on the field...:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I loved how they kept bringing the wham block with Mayer and they still couldn't stop it. Kid can do more than catch the ball.

I wish the OL was healthy and playing like this against OSU. Would've been a game changer.

It was particularly nice seeing all of the parts being utilized to their strengths. Diggs and Estime are ballers and getting Tyree in space is what a lot of people have been pounding the table to see. Sucks it took this long to fully blossom, but regardless, here we are and I love it.

Finish the year strong. Get a QB in the portal. And lets see ND back in the CFP next year!

Don't get caught up your feelings. He's responsible for the awful QB play and the terrible recruiting. He has to go period.

The '23 recruiting cycle isn't over yet, if that's what you're referencing. This offence is beginning to work, and his other offences have been solid. Keep in mind, Pyne is also a backup, so yes, I would like to see better qb play, but it simply isn't an option with this quarterback room.
