The concept doesn't use Georgia Tech colors. Pretty different shades of blue and gold.

Regardless of shade, the all-whites with minimal gold and blue trim is kind of reminiscent of GT.

I think that's just a pitfall of sharing similar colors, though, kind of like how our SS jersey in '12 kind of looked like a Pitt jersey, or how any black ND uni would look like Purdue or Baylor's black.

My original post was meant more as tongue-in-cheek, anyway. I await further designs. Blink once if a black one is in the works.

Along with USC in '05, the green used as accent for the '13 SS unis is tied for my favorite shade of green yet.

I know it's a minor thing, but one of the elements of both of these that I love, and I think it adds a lot to the look, is the black shoes. I really hate the crazy colored shoes that are all the rage currently.

I am a staunch anti-BFBS advocate but....the masses will be appeased and black concepts are either done or in the works.

And I agree with sharing colors with teams it can be challenging. Black, in particular, is pretty tough for Notre Dame to pull off. For a lot of people, it's a low bar to clear...the black stuff on the previous page is good evidence. But, there's a way to use some classic design elements to make it work.

When ND played at FSU, i emailed my buddy who works at UA. Since Miami seemed to beat FSU in 90s, figured ND could use a similar color scheme.. I requested ND unis gold helmet with green shamrock, white jerseys green numbers w orange accent, orange pants w white and green striped socks(irish flag theme). He didn't have enough pull, so I told him I guess we'll just keep having UA mess up ND's alternate unis.

I love when ND wears a little green, I wish the leprechaun would get more love as well.

i remember watching soccer on TV in 1990 World Cup (earliest sporting memory) and no way the picture quality was that shit as it appears on that ND-UF game..

I can't see Youtube videos posted while at work, but I assume I know which video of the ND-UF game was posted. If I'm right, I think it's such poor quality because it was recorded via VHS and has some tracking issues. It was then converted to digital, but that doesn't take away those problems.

You guys are silly. The picture quality X, then it was copied onto VHS tape.... then it sat and degraded for 25 years and then converted to digital. If you had a 40" Mitsu with 700 Horizontal line res, you had 480p level quality in 4:3 aspect.

I have a number of classic games on various forms of digital... it's very hard to judge the quality of the footage by the era... I have a few games from the 70s that look amazing, then there are various games from the 90s that look like the 92 sugar bowl and vice versa etc etc.... the quality of the footage various greatly from game to game more so than it does year to year/era to era.

I'm for updating both locker rooms. Makes no sense to come back and do it at a later time if you're going to. And being respectful to the visiting team and fans is the ND way. This is a move that's 100% in alignment with the ND way.

Put in flickering light bulbs and uneven floors. Have one of those airmists that periodically shoots sulphur-smelling bug-attractant. Ensure the doors lock airtight and make the pressure go through rapid increase/decrease cycles.
