That's one way to look at it..but more alternative on the west coast to decide from than when USC was on top with the Carroll teams imo now in 2015.

Jason La Canfora said he interviewed poorly for the job so it may not be as clear cut.

Agreed. USC basically had Cali on lockdown. The Pac-12 is MUCH stronger than it was when Pete was at $C.
ora leaving will hurt UCLA in recruiting, but they should still be much more appealing to SoCal recruits than they were a decade ago. Not to mention Oregon is a huge terror in USC's stomping grounds, as is the Arizona schools. USC is primarily a hoarder of SoCal talent, and there's a lot more teams grabbing up Hell-A nowadays. Hell, even ND gets their share. Let's remember that a year ago, ND's recruiting was awful under TW.
That is surprising. Maybe he was overconfident. When you are a lot of times you end up giving a bad interview.

Very unlikely it's a truthful report. First teams never release this kind of information. Second the media has all of a sudden just sand bagged thus guy. As a Bills fan I'm happy he's gone, but everyday it seems like there's a new negative media report (including from Syracuse where he was beloved)

Apparently the NYC media has been bashing Marone for leaving the Bills. This has caused a negative image of him and we all know all Woody Johnson cares about is making a big positive splash with the media.

Could be true. They haven't made the overtures, but maybe NFL teams have made overtures to them.
Said it before and I hope I'm wrong, but I'm not hearing enough to make me think Mora is in line for one of the openings.

Agree...I'm not hearing his name mentioned at all when the talking heads talk about possibilities. But we can still hope.

Wouldn't be surprised at all if Mora had his people "leak" fake info about the NFL having interest to boost his image, a lot like Favre's handlers would "leak" fake information about him anytime they noticed he was no longer being talked about on Sportscenter.

So when Mora has rumors that he'll leave for the NFL it boosts his image, but when Kelly has rumors of leaving, it hurts his. That's real fair...

As of right now, I bet he's made secret inquiries and when news leaked, he quickly backed away turning it into a recruiting pitch. However, I'm hesitant to flat out think it's a recruiting pitch because he has like 20 years NFL experience so he doesn't need it. I do think inquiries were made.

This is pretty much it, as I understand it. He got spooked off of interviewing with the Jets because it wasn't supposed to leak, and he's been actively listening to any NFL franchise that has expressed interest. He's not a leading candidate for any job, which allows him to say and act how he does.
