Could you get on board with these. The 1966 road jersey that ND wore to beat #10 Oklahoma, #10 SC and tie #2 MSU in The true Game of the Century?

It makes sense since it's the 50th Anniversary of the '66 season.

I prefer the uniform to be clean, but honestly it's just one game a year and I don't mind that much. If the players like it and it brings in recruits, I'm for it.

The stadium rarely sees that level of crazy anymore, and the scary thing is Lou coached when the stadium was still at 59,000ish fans! You would think noise levels would be even greater at 80,000, but that's not really the case. It's hard for me to remember back to the pre-'97 games, but the fans were rabid during Lou's days. They occasionally will get crazy for select games still, but they're few and far between. Not saying the fans need to be crazy for 4 quarters if we have a large lead, but for the first few quarters we should definitely have some bark, and certainly the whole game if the scoreboard is tight.

Ticket prices are nuts. Who can afford those prices? Older fans.

What were prices like in the good ol' days

For me it's:

2013 - Love the all-white with gold on gold shamrock helmet with green outline.

2014 - The jerseys were the best, but I wasn't a big fan of the helmet. All blue with the cathedral design. Outstanding.

2011 - Those were my favorite helmets. Obviously doesn't gain much points in terms of creativity using the same green and gold jerseys from years prior.

2010 - Standard, not very innovative, but still looked darn good.

2015 - Wasn't a fan. I liked some of the design choices, like the script "Irish" on the jersey and the leprechaun helmet logo. The rest just stuck out like a sore thumb. It was far too modern looking and the dual-color face mask and numbers were pretty ugly.

2012 - Just ugly. Never liked the 2/3 color style helmet. Didn't like the number design (worked a lot better for 2013, because the gold numbers were much shinier and stood out better). The pants were very pale colored and the blue didn't stand out. The design not only was bland, but a mess.

i've got a terrible feeling this uni's are going to be awful. if they go with camo uni's vs Army they are gonna get slated in the media. the whole stars and bars/military tribute uniform fad should be dead and buried by now.

lol well they always like new uni's no matter how bad they. Team's that bring out matte helmets/BFBS/camo uni's are always adored by players

For the record, camo was just a guess. He didn't say he had inside info.

School colors in digital camo accents could be done properly. Depends on the execution whether or not I'd be on board with it.

I had told a friend they would be camo too. Not because thats what I want just that we are playing Army.

I would really like to see them try and do something with these as the base design:

could jsut replace the star with a shamrock and be done.
