1:29 is just one reason why I sleep happy at night as a ND fan waiting for 2012. The front 7 is going to be very solid with or without Aaron. LOVE what I have seen out of Kona, Ishaq, Sheldon and Grace so far this spring.

From the highlights I have seen including one in this video, Jalen Brown looks absolutely awful; note to never take praise during a speech as actual evaluation, Floyd was just being nice

I was always skeptical when people brought up that speech. Floyd also thanked Joe Romano.

Eiert is unguardable

He really is. A well-thrown ball to Eifert is a complete pass every time.

The walk-ons were essentially the team whipping boys in that coverage drill. Respect.

Who is this #80? He is looking pretty solid. Oh, and please do not start Tommy Rees. I was undecided on who I would prefer to start until I watch that video. I think I would prefer Golson over all the other QBs. He looks like the smoothest, he has a big arm, and has four years of eligibility left.

I really wanna see Golson start. Man that'd be exciting.

He needs to stop holding the ball out in one hand when he scrambles. Everyone calling for him to start now is going to be awfully upset when he keeps fumbling every time he gets hit from behind.

That's correctable. A weak arm isn't

I'm more worried about him fumbling out of the snap...how has that not been fixed in his time there?
And btw, am I the only one that thinks Golson has really tiny hands? It looks like he can barely hold onto the ball,...maybe that's why he fumbles so much?

I don't understand why people make every comment about Tommy, and have to through in unnecessary insults while doing so. The issue I was referring to was Everett not protecting the football. Not sure how that singular problem turns into Tommy's arm strength? And I agree with you it is correctable, but he has been doing it since high school, and has not corrected it yet. I'd like for that correction to be applied sooner rather than later, wouldn't you?

Your post had a very negative vibe towards Golson "supporters" at the very least. I feel like a comparison to Rees was completely relevant to your post.

Also, it wasnt an insult. I made a factual statement. But yes, I would hope its corrected soon.

Negative vibe towards Golson supporters? Man I want Golson to start for us out of all the QBs if he is ready. He obviously has the most upside and tools to excel in the offense. I stated that people calling for him to start now would be upset when he kept fumbling due to leaving the ball out unprotected during his scrambles. I think that's something that needs to be addressed and corrected to an extent before he can be out there starting in big games. I don't think any ND fan needs to be reminded what turnovers can do in a game and to a season.

I think all that was being pointed out is that Golson's problems can be fixed in short order and Tommy's are physical problems he can't change.

The comments about Rees below the article are incouraging. Same ole tommy bring a little pressure and he craps his pants. We will lead the nation in rushing and win ten with golson.

I dont think thats good to hope for, Tommy is the starter, I want Golson to take it from him, not Tommy to lower himself.

I'm beginning to think Kelly's going to start Rees.
Probably keeping him on a tight leash or rotation with Hendrix.
He'll then move Golson to another position and start Kiel next season.

No way he starts Rees for 2.5 years and then benches him his senior year...

Unless you are thinking that Rees will have a huge year. we will win a bcs bowl, he will have a 10-1 td to int ratio and then leave for the nfl... Then I can pick up what you're throwin down

Something similar happened with Andrew Luck. He redshirted his freshman year and then passed up an entrenched senior starter as a RS frosh.
