That was the initial report but in the presser Kelly said ankle and something about screws. Huge bummer if he loses any of his explosiveness.

In general, there are a TON of injuries right now. Most seem minor besides Massa, but still discouraging when we have a team of ~80 scholarship players total. BJax has a dinged up shoulder.

not sure if it was mentioned, but Kelly said after practice today...

Lynch being gone, players stepping up is seamless. Louis Nix, back to back good practices. Lewis-Moore really good. Hate to lose good player, but not noticed with depth we have.

A few notes and opinions

Rees continues to look the best but golson is almost there. Hendrix is on Rees's heels as well. Kiel looks good but is definitely fourth. This was by far golson's best practice

RB will be a huge strength. Apparently riddick is putting out ridiculous jukes on defenders for huge gains. We will have another year of a solid 1 2 punch.

Receiver is weak. Jones Daniels and Toma will be the starters IMO but I will be shocked if Neal doesn't see significant time early and often.

Eifert is a continued stud. Welch has been a beast blocker, koyack more of the receiving threat.

Lombard has solidified starter at RT. only position in question is rg between nick Martin and golic. Either way our line is going to be a huge strength.

Rees took the first handful of snaps before Hendrix rotated in once the offense crossed into the red zone.

This is the second time I have read that Rees is subbed once in the redzone. Does anyone think this may be Kelly's plan?
