Maybe one of the UT's is Toledo :
If Toledo keeps it up, Matt Campbell will be more than just a sought after commodity; he will be on every AD's Christmas list!
The Rockets are far from having a coach on the hot seat, but they probably will be looking after this season. Unless the President and board loosen up the purse strings. After all, they can buy her a 900K house; (do you know what that takes in the NWO market?)
Originally, Matt wanted to stay long-term at U of T and build a program. He mustered a lot of resources in troubled times (for the University), and did better than his most enthusiastic supporters could have expected.
But Matt is young. Hopefully he is still young enough that it will count against him with the elite programs.
In my opinion, he is one of the few guys I wish ND could bring in at a time in the future, based upon his resume, his character and what I expect from his future growth, and development as a coach.
I have a gut feeling USC found their new head coach. They really need to put the decadent decade of Pete Carroll behind them.
Time of Terror!
I just thought of a subject for a great Halloween short :
This year, just in time for Halloween, The University of Miami - Graveyard of coaches rises up and beckons again. [Shows pictures of a mostly empty stadium during almost any home game.]
This ghostly apparition demands a new blood sacrifice! First Coker, then Sharp, now Golden. [Pictures of all these coaches, first in their energetic glory as new coaches, and then just before the axe falls!] All these young and hopeful coaches, felled before their prime, by a program that can't find a way to play home games within an hour of their campus.
Time of terror! Who will be next?!?!?!?!
