Don Brown getting a 5 year extention at 1.4 million a year... that's nuts!

Helfrich ... is owed $11.6 million in buyout from Oregon.

Must be nice ... to fail ... yet get $11.6 mill.

footballscoop is reporting Beck ( OSU QB Coach/OC) is off to join Herman at UT. They are basing the article on the link below. Not a good read for ole Ed there either. I am most interested to see what happens with Tony Alford out of all of this. He got the title of associate head coach (one of three on staff) but has still not coordinated. I continue to see him having difficulty getting a HC job without being a coordinator. Will he get it now?

Where's Chip Kelly gonna land? Someone gonna boot their coach even though the carousel is pretty much over? Is he gonna wait for a year to see where the dust is settling?

Report from FootballScoop is that he'd be happy to be an offensive coordinator again, but I think he'd get a decent HC offer before that came up.

My greatest fear is that he goes and coordinates the offense for Urban for a year, considering OSU NEEDS to make sweeping offensive changes beyond just a QB coach.

Some chatter around New England that he could be the McDaniels replacement if he leaves for a HC job finally. Chip and Belichick are pretty close.

Something about coaches from the NE just liking one another. And everyone else hating them.

Hasn't he been down that road before? Is he ready for a HC job again? Guess so based on articles regarding NFL coaching vacancies.

I think he is. I hope he doesn't leave since he's a great OC, but I would think he's learned a lot since his Denver days and he's still only 40.

So is there any movement on the two coaches in limbo (Gilmore, Longo), and who may be filling their spots if their spots are indeed opened?

Apparently Longo will go, but he will go slow.

Mike Frank posted on ISD recently that he's optimistic about the upcoming S&C hire. That's a first, so there must actually be some good news coming.

Damn, why are we getting turned down? Did they weigh in? The Giant guy I get, the assistant at USC is more concerning.

I bet the Giants guy is the old Michigan strength coach under Hoke. I think he's on their staff

Replacing Kevin Johns who was let go. Interesting given IU didn't have a lot of problems scoring. My guess is political given Wilson hired him.

This whole situation is wild. I'm puzzled what the coach did wrong. He's literally getting fired for a situation he couldn't possibly control and where no charges were filed. I'm not saying that there wasn't rape or code of conduct violations, I just don't understand how the coach is culpable.
