Did a little digging on FSU and saw a few things. Basically their entire offense returns from last year. They lost their best RB Webb but appear to have some guys who have played back. They have 6 "starters" back on the OL but are still moving guys around and obviously, listing Gibbons as a starter is a red flag. I wouldn't be surprised if Dylan really isn't their starting LG but we'll see. WR's were pretty good last year and they added a Tsf from Kansas (Parchment) who caught a bunch of balls for them. Not sure if that means much, after all it was Kansas. The QB question (Milton or Travis/) remains unanswered

Defense is pretty crazy. Only two guys who started vs us are listed as starters now although two more are now back ups and a lot of last years back ups have moved up.They've had quite a few guys leave. They have 3 Grad transfers who will start, two from SCarolina and Johnson, a DE from UGA. Johnson is a great pass rusher but he wasn't an every down player at UGA. The two guys from South Car were multi year starters but those were bad defenses and it doesn't say much for FSU's talent for them to start right away.

I had to chuckle when I read the nickel back (Robinson)broke a South Carolina record for tackles by a DB in the 2019 game vs TA&M with 15. Ya think maybe the Aggies found something? They won 30-6.

I checked one scouting site and they only have one player (Johnson) as being drafted before the 7th round. They just don't have any good players who've been there 4-5 years. Maybe the younger guys will pan out but if they have "lot of talent", as many media guys insist, its pretty young and unproven.

It would be nice to review the recruiting sites to see how many high end recruits they actually have but there's way too many transfers, in and out to keep track of.

They also lost Terry who was far and away their best player on offense and only real threat at WR

Two announcers that detest ND, should be exhausting. Don’t forget “win one for Bobby” even though these kids don’t know who he is. Weather the storm and humidity early and settle in.

There’s lots of hesitation and pessimism on a lot of podcasts, and different websites on just exactly what this team is going to be. I just don’t get it. Yeah we have new pieces here and there, but if we’re really at the point of reloading then there has to be some optimism, right?

I’m sticking to my original prediction of 45-10 ND for now. I feel strongly that our Defense will be too much for FSU and I believe our Offense will score on most possessions. With the new defensive mind set, and lack of fans last year our guys will be more than ready to play even if it’s not the home town crowd.

The loss of Marist was a little concerning because of his play making ability, and disruptiveness. So I thought about dropping my prediction to 38-10 (I am still hoping to see a couple of defensive scores) but I don’t (as of right now) feel that his loss won’t be absorbed. I hope I’m right.

Terry was highly productive in 2019, not in 2020. He had one foot out the door to the NFL and probably should have had them both out because he got less usage as the season went on. Ended up their 2nd leading receiver behind Ontario Wilson. When I looked this up I was surprised to see Jordan Travis was their leading rusher last year. Webb looked good vs us but he was only 4th in yds rushing.

Terry was just indicted for murder (incident under investigation occurred in 2018).

That makes two former FSU WR's indicted for murder over the last 6 months............

Thanks for posting, really enjoyed the preview! Will look forward to the next one mentioned in the preview which will focus more on FSUs capabilities.

Of course, week of game and right after BK came out and said ND docs had just got comfort with FSUs vaccination population

They aren't even at 85% vaxxed as a team. I haven't heard that rumor about their RBs, but I'll snoop around.

One of the more confounding statements I heard was about their "path" to being 90% vaxxed. What does that actually mean? Got a shot but haven't waited the two weeks? Have an appointment to get vaccinated?

Also, another Reddit rumor is that Milton is vocal anti-vaxxer dividing the locker room, and that Jordan Travis might get 100% of the reps.

Bringing politics or, in this case, conspiracies into a team setting is always a great idea

“Norvell said over 90% of the team has started the process of full vaccination.” was as of yesterday’s presser. So yeah I assume that is first shot or even signed up for first shot but leaves a lot of room for “unvaccinated status” on Sunday

Divided locker room? No way. You'd think with the D1 version of a Last Chance U style roster formation that everyone would just gel right off the bat.
