We gotta show up better for this one or else bad memories of 2011 will come.

The kids playing in this game were anywhere from 9 to 13 years old when that game took place. That result is of little consequence.

I am far more worried with what USF is going to do defensively against Book. And their DC had a very good year last year at FAU. It's hard to know what kind of measuring stick their game against Citadel was.

My guess on a victory Monday is another workmanlike ND victory.

It feels like talented freshman can get on the field at every program but this one. I guess that is the bar that ND sets for their players, though, which isn't a bad thing. Still, frustrating that more often than not we don't get to see these guys get on the field despite the obvious talent.

in my mind the traits thing = the kid likes smoking weed

it certainly has meant that in the past for a few. but he specifically mentioned recently he has been good with his traits and made it sound more like the daily focus and effort. A combination of all the above as noted below is likely. He may just be struggling with adjusting to college life in total.

Unlikely.
Usually means mental lapses on the field or, more likely, off the field discipline / academic struggles.

FEI projects that we'll win by 23.4 points, with a 95% chance of at least outright victory.

You guys are correct. Read this morning that he was having a little trouble adjusting to the rigors of school and playing FB.

Does FEI project the chance of rain this Saturday?

It's already baked into the 95% PWL. Current forecast is clear with a high of 65; thus the high win %. But if we anger God and bring down another divine tempest upon ND, the chance of Ligma immediately skyrockets to 69%.

Coach's mantra, over and over again: young players often do not have the necessary attention to detail. ... the "traits" which make them focus on "attention to detail" ?

I heard Avery Davis in his interview post-game. He, as if having lived a football player's lifetime with Coach, instinctively used the "details" language himself.

It's (like it or not) what the kids must show the head man.

Mostly I like it. But I shuddered last season when Kyren dropped that pass in the flat by not having "attention to detail." He didn't really recover all year.

Anyone in Boston know of any bars/restaurants that might be open and I could watch the game at? Going to the city for the day with some friends and want to stop somewhere to at least watch a half while having some drinks.
