Mark May would pick Savannah State over ND...

Mark May, Lou Holtz, and ND... when these three things are together, it is pure entertainment, not a football discussion.

Griese says we don't deserve to be a top 25 team. "They beat Navy".

May says Purdue will put up huge numbers because we gave up 192 yards passing to Navy.

Herbstreit was just saying he thinks ND is on upset alert also at the end of the Pitt Cincy game. Said how Purdue has been running the ball a lot better the last few years (pfffft, bring it) and how ND coming back from Ireland- long trip and everyone telling them how good they are, said we could be in trouble.
Pretty sure that was David Pollack who said that (the ultimate ND hater).

Any team would look great against EASTERN FRICKIN KENTUCKY! They discount us because we played Navy yet they applaud purdue for dominating EKU. Makes no sense but then again it's the "worldwide leader" and so this is to be expected

I still can't get over the fact that we rushed for over 250 yards against them last year, and they have lost their leading tackler on defense. I remember reading something earlier, which may have been posted on here, that Short was a non-factor last year against us. Obviously players get better, and sometimes diamonds in the rough are hiding on the depth chart.

I just don't see their defense dominating our offensive front in any way. They may get some plays downfield utilizing the passing game, but it will be a long day when they are one-dimensional. More than likely we will be able to stuff their running game with our talented front seven. Hopefully we are able to generate a decent pass-rush and keep their quarterbacks off-balance the entire game. This will tip the scale in our favor I believe, and we will prevail in the end.

Saturday is almost here!

“At home we’re the hosts, and I never liked the idea of being embarrassed in front of our friends.” Knute Rockne

Two leading tacklers, actually. Purdue sucks. We're wasting energy talking about them. Looking forward to getting past this game and into the make-or-break part of the sched.

We did rush for over 250 but the guy that ran for 191 yds or 67% of the total is still on suspension.

The guy that threw for 294 yds (96% of the total passing yds) with 3 TD and NO turnovers and NO sacks is coming off suspension but is parked on the bench.

And our AA WR who caught 12 passes for 137 yds (52% of the total) is in the NFL.

Just comparing apples to apples in the context of your post.

I really like Cierre, but I'm not convinced that Theo and GAIII are worse than Cierre.

Definitely feel like we have massively upgraded at QB.

This is fair. All around, we have better athletes than Purdue everywhere on the field.

With ESPN pumping Purdue so hard, wtf are they going to say if ND absolutely rolls them? I guess it's win-win for them as it would potentially set up a high tv rating matchup with MSU next week.

Man you started early today!

I found a perfect example of why I always thank you for the articles you write. You are not Mel Kiper. He does this, you don't. Now I know it is easier to avoid things with the written word than on the air, but Mel used "arguably" and "virtualy" in the same sentence. What complement he doth give, he takes away. Thanks for saying what you mean, and delivering it straight.

Mark May has already predicted a win for Purdue, just like he did with Navy last week. So far I like going 1-0 against Mark, I wish Lou would bring these predictions to light every week on College Football Final, but I guess Lou knows what he's doing.

To answer your question, if we absolutely roll on Purdue, the ESPN analyst in their infinite wisdom I'm sure will make a comment in some relation to;

"Well ND Won another game against a inferior team, Purdue. Purdue of course won their opening game against a subpar E.KY team, you can't take much away from this win and we really don't know what ND is yet until next week when they play MSU. After that game we will know what ND is made of."

That of course will continue every week,

"Well we gotta see how they match up next week against Mich........ Let's see how ND fairs when they play a confident BYU team........... Alright next week is going to be the true test to ND fans as they go into Norman........ And so on and so on. "

That of course will come to a halt if and when we go undefeated this year.

You know what's exciting that not many people are harping on?

11 PR yards by Neal is nearly 4x our season total from last year before the bowl game. We may have an actual punt returner this year!

Can't wait for Saturday!

Yeah I was thinking about that all day yesterday! As Neal becomes more comfortable back there we should see his amazing athletic ability come to the fore front! I would like to see him get down field this week and show us his wiggle after the catch. Lovin all this talented youth!

there are ways to change your IP location, I'd guess doing that and streaming on NBC would give him better picture quality than justintv.

yeah, that's what I was referencing. I personally have never tried it, but it apparently isn't a difficult process if you know what you are doing. As to whether it is completely 'legal', that is another matter.

Yeah I've done it so I can watch Braves/Reds games on MLBtv, since those games are blacked out for me in the Reds tv market. There are plugins available for your browser or I think there is a site where you just click on a map where you want to "live" and then enter the url you want to access. Pretty simple.

You know what I just remembered?

We dominated the LOS last year on D and Tuitt didn't even make the trip and EJ went out early with his ankle.

All bodies on board for tomorrow it is going to get ugly for the Toiletmakers.

Not aired on NBC in the Raleigh market, I'm hoping my DirecTv has it on the channel formerly known as VS

Apparently in order to get the noon ECU/South Carolina game they had to commit to an SEC double header to bump out ND. Freaking crock of sh!t!
