Jaylon smith is a special human being. Kid just lights up playing foooball. Most definitely has "it"

Once-in-a-lifetime player on so many levels. Already deserves the "Notre Dame man" in his thread. Love to See his enthusiasm about the communication, great team player.

Hoke is gonna have a tough year. Good thing he plays in the B1G. At what point does Michigan realize that he is a great recruiter of talent but not much of a developer of talent? He, and his fans, should be ashamed of their performance last Saturday.

For others who went to the game, what did you think of the stadium atmosphere? I thought it was pretty rad.

I almost got into it with another ND fan during the game. The people in front of me stood up on a 3rd down during the 2nd quarter. Naturally I stood up so I could see, but I only crouched so that way I didn't obstruct the people behind me. The guy behind me took it upon himself to pull me down by the belt and told me to sit down. That pissed me off; the only reason why I didn't light into him right there for treating me like a dog was that my fiancee was with me.

In hindsight I should have gotten an usher and told him what this fan did. I understand that he wants to see the game. So do I. That's no reason to put your hands on another fan and pull them down.

I kinda want to write a letter to the AD's office about it. I know that nothing will be done, but it's time to be consistent with the StaND policy from USC last year. Either do it or make everybody sit down. Because the next fan that puts his hands on me will be met with more than a glare.

It was awsome, but why the fuck didn't you tell me you were at the game? I was there all of Friday and Saturday.

You should have told him "Thank you so much for reining me back. I have a tendency to get overly excited sometime. It's caused by this medication I take for a highly contagious skin disorder, so you might want to go wash that hand quickly." Then scratch your backside.

I thought the atmosphere was about the best I've ever experienced at a football game. I originally thought my tickets were terrible (last row underneath the north scoreboard), but I got a beautiful view of the overhead of the game, the student section going nuts, and a gorgeous sunset. Also, when you' re in the last row, no one tells you to sit down. I was standing, screaming, and celebrating with everyone around me the whole game. I might also have said some very inappropriate things about Michigan, but fortunately no one called me on it. I just kind of had a bit of a blood rage going on and blew my voice out. Not bad for an experience where I went to sb thinking I wasn't going to find tickets.

Where were you sitting??? I can't believe that you even crouched. It's a 3rd down in the 2nd quarter. Everyone should stand up for that. As for another guy putting his hands on you... I have no idea what I would've done but it wouldn't have been pleasant. That's some serious disrespect.

This is unfair, but after reading that that happened to you, I lose a lot of respect for you as a man. No man gets sat down by his pants. He owned you, he's your new daddy.

I did and I couldn't stop laughing. I'd be outraged if this was our coach. He has no answers, he's simply defensive and throwing out buzzwords.

"uh...red zone....turnovers....we need to be resilient...we are a team".

I am so glad Michigan hired Hoke. All the people I know, including one guy who coached with him at Toledo, (HH also, by the way,) in the 80's, all thought he was the messiah. I told them he reminded me of a cross between Willingham and Weis. Brady has a better work ethic that Ty, true, but both men never built a program back up from scratch, they had successful situations to start. And Weis, because he just is a bit of an odd brick in the wall. Kids love him, but not like they love a Kelly or VanGorder.

Actually, I have always had a lot of respect for the Rack. Now it is even greater. Not only did he have the cool and presence to keep from escalating the situation to the same level of mental ill health the man behind him exhibited. Yes, invading someone else's, space, let alone assuming you have the right to control their body, is not normative or healthy, unless you have a badge, or a uniform and are following moral orders.

So Rack was a good citizen, and protected his fiancée, in the best manner, as he saw fit. And he had the courage to be honest about the situation. I can relate, because over the years, particularly when I was in uniform, I have had every kind of head case, and nut job offer to fix my ass, before they even knew there was a crack in it, and most time defusing the situation leaves you with a bad taste in your mouth. Being honest about his unresolved feelings shows more courage than decking the idiot. Take it from me, I know because I have tried it both ways!

Reps Rack 'EM!

After reading this I lose a lot of respect for you as an IE member. That's not cool at all. Everyone handles things differently. I know men that would have broke his hand and I know men that would have reacted like Rack Em did. There is a lot to be said for restraint and it certainly beats being arrested for childish behavior. I have a bad temper and have to remind myself of that regularly.

Lol, my loss of respect has nothing to do with how Rackem reacted or didn't react, simply that some man sat him down by his pants.

And rackem and I like eachother and he knows it's a damn joke.

So enough with the drama, nothing to see here.

I have to believe Koon was kidding... Just giving Rack a hard time. He obviously did the better thing by not laying the dude out. It is much harder to show restraint than swing away.. Especially if someone puts their hands on you.

They should post at the gates that "3rd downs are for standing...if you don't like it please turn around". Good restraint...You would have missed a glorious game if you had reacted with your instincts.

When we had the wave going on, a ND fan in my section sitting down says 'I don't do the wave'.

Cool.

The best part about this is that Michigan obviously didn't see the jail-sex coming...not even close. Now we need them to to run the table (which ain't happening) to have our win mean something.
