I DC if he's injured or not, starting a true freshman with a .85 composite on the OL is LOL.
Jones and Tillery should be licking their chops.
The entire DL should be foaming.
Texas OLine 2 deep has 1 Sr. and 2 Jrs. Not a lot of years in the weightroom And a couple of those guys have been banged up in preseason camp.
Horns Starting RB is 240 and the backup is 250.

Shackelford is the Horns Starting Center. I believe he was a G in HS.
According to this 8/20 article, Strong said he was 60% at that time and expected to be back this week.
Did he re-injure the ankle or did you come across old news?

The Shag is a great site. Their collection of posters is incredible.
Apparently it has been reported that Texas' best o-lineman, Patrick Vahe, got hurt yesterday and could be out for the game.
It hasn't been confirmed. It was rampant speculation off of a single webz post.
As to the Shaggy board, pure gold. I love their comedic timing and self-deprecation.

all i know is there is going to be trick play when swoops throws to heard and will throw it.....BVG's defenses better be disciplined
Nope, that'll be 6 points for Texas. We bit on those trick plays so damn hard last year.

yeah unfortunately that is what i am predicting
Wasn't Kelly asked about this or bring it up himself? I think I remember him talking about how they had to be disciplined on trick plays. I might be wrong but I bet that was a big topic for discussion among the coaches this offseason.
Also, that is a play that takes a minimum of 6 seconds to develop. If Texas' o-line is as beat up as it has been reported, I don't think our d-line should have any trouble disrupting a trick play.
1 of 2 things will let happen. Well either lose to a more athletic team by 7 or less, or win something like 45 to 13 and think we're world beaters going into MSU. Whole nation will be on the hype train, and we get out physicalled by Dantoni's squad and lose 24 to 17. They'll blow up our OL we talk up so much, and run it down our throats with their 3 headed monster at RB.
This is ND, you can't have it both ways so how do you want to die is the question.
They've got a one-headed monster at RB.
They've got an unproven backup, and a last-minute grad transfer that doubles as a fullback behind that.
I assume you're talking about LJ Scott. I watched their OSU/MSU game last night and really liked #24/#22, can't remember his name. Had dreads, but he was good. Then watched their 'inside camp' or whatever and they alluded to having 3 great backs. IDK who the 3rd is, but I really like their first 2.
Would you take our RBs or theirs? Our OL or theirs? Our QBs or theirs?
I DC if he's injured or not, starting a true freshman with a .85 composite on the OL is LOL.
Our QB, our OL, not sure about RBs.
I think LJ Scott is the most talented if you put all 6 together, and I like Gerald Scott, but don't even know the 3rd one.
So you like the second guy, don't know the third, and you call it a three-headed monster lol?
That's like saying ND's got a three-headed monster. Do I hope we have a three-headed monster? Surely. But until Dexter gets more reps, we've got two very good backs and a third unproven guy with potential.
Just using their words on ESPN. They'd know better than I. I'd also call ND's a 3 headed monster given Dexter's talent, 2nd year, and how he's been the most impressive back this spring/fall. But let's not go on a 12 post rant defending the meaning of '3 headed monster' please. I'd rather eat my own teeth.
