I have to give it to the state of Tennessee football.

Mid TN is playing Bama.
TN State playing ND.
TN-Martin playing Georgia.
Austin Peay, TN playing Tennessee next week.

Anyone remember App St vs michigan?
Yes. That same scUM team went on to beat Florida & Timmy Tebow’s ass in the bowl game that year.

Thank goodness ND didn’t play App St that year. Meatchicken embarrassed ND 38-0 after losing to App ST.

If we were playing either of those teams I would want Jack fired immediately for incompetence. Playing top tier FCS schools is tantamount to AD malpractice. Absolutely no gain with horrible risk.
Pffft. Pussy. ;)

Sounds like a potentially good defense at each level, and a potentially bad offense at each level.

I wish they were at least in the top 100 so we'd have some indication of what we have. I guess we'll see how our guards matchup when there is opposing beef on the other side. NC State is really looking like a test now. This game will make ND feel a little too confident so I hope Freeman gets them focused for their first true test of the season.

How many punts will ND kick in this game? Will it be zero as with the Navy game? Hope the punt team doesn’t get rickety from lack of use……..

Will their fans be travelling and taking over the stadium?

We their fans be travelling and taking over the stadium?
Tim O'Malley did a preview column with a local TN beat reporter, he said that FCS fans don't normally travel a ton but he wouldn't be surprised to see 3-4k fans in attendance for this.

I don't think we have to worry about a UGA style takeover, doubt they have that kind of following.

I suppose it is going to be a game dominated by our OL and RBs but if we do get to pass it I am hoping Tyree gets a lot of catches. He deserves reward for moving over to WR with class.
Then Tobias needs to get a heap of catches (or at least targets) as well.

Marshall taught us we are in no position to overlook any team even with better talent. However, do you think it’s smarter to keep Hartman’s reps on the greater end playing him fairly late in order to establish a stronger cohesion before OSU or to rest him early if we are up convincingly with Angelli/Minchey gaining more game experience?
I think you meant the NC State game.

So if you're the head coach, and you win the toss, do you want the football? or do you defer? basically I'm thinking how I can get my starters the most amount of snaps so I think take it. But maybe you want to get in the habit of getting a stop. Running a two minute drill before the half and scoring. And then getting the ball and scoring to start the second half. So not sure.

On Vivid Seats, ND v Tennessee State is the 3rd most expensive ticket this weekend, at $93+ just to get inside. PSU v WVU and LSU v FSU are both in the low $100s.

Meanwhile - Bama, Texas, USC, OU, Oregon, A&M, and many other big names are essentially handing tickets away at $10 or less.

A bit off topic, but...

I clicked on the thread again and it took me to the first page, where I saw Clashmore Mike set it up.

Prolific guy. ☘️

We should create a legends of IE page to honor him and the other greats who are watching from above.
Did Mike pass? I must have missed that. It looked like someone communicated on his page just a few weeks ago like he was helping them with a website issue.
[EDIT] Disregard, I just found the thread.

We need a bigger stadium or if not at least spend that loot on the best facilities.
I don’t know what I am talking about.

I heard that it is pretty close to a sellout right now, so it seems the demand is there, crazy as that price is.
