According to Freeman, the officials said it wasn’t targeting because he led with his forehead and not the crown.

We need to clean up the missed tackles next week. Other than that I have no complaints besides the 400 lb man that sat in front of me today.

His head hit the runner's shoulder first and I don't think he hit him with the "circular area defined by a 6-inch radius from the apex" of his helmet, although his head is down.


I think his head being down more than anything is what gave the shit-ass ACC ref the idea that it should be targeting.


edit: not that it matters. If you're going to get a 1st half targeting ejection, this is the game to do it in.

Not that it matters much, but they got the W this week over AR Pine Bluff. They had a 17-0 lead heading into the 4th and blocked a botched field goal with less than a minute remaining, returning it 90 yards for a score to win 24-14.
