Probably in the player's thread because it pertains to the player, and you obviously consider it "newsworthy" which is why you felt a need to post it.

Not every post that mentions a player's name warrants his thread being bumped IMO. If Corey Robinson makes a nice catch in practice, should we bump it saying 'Corey had a good catch today'.

And no, not every post is 'news worthy'. There's so many examples of non-news worth posts that I won't give one.

I'm going to avoid the argument on "newsworthiness."

However, you do seem to think the picture is "notable." If there is something notable about a particular player that someone on IE wanted to look for a few days from now, where do you think they would begin their search?

It's not noteable. What does that even mean? If the picture was any more important that just showing how sweet Bryant looks, it could go in his thread. But it's just an awesome picture. No one will lose sleep if they don't see it. It's not injury news, academic news, or anything that's actually noteable, as you would say.

Why do people care so much that I choose not to bump player's threads if it's not player news? Lol. If you want to bump player's threads, have at it. I choose not to unless it's actual stuff that would matter to ND fans.

Fair enough, that is your choice. And I do understand that some people seem to get terrified when player's threads are bumped because of recent history with injuries, transfers, fake girlfriends, etc...

I just don't know why we have player threads if people refuse to post player information in them for fear of bumping.

I'm just saying, if I was looking for pictures of Greg Bryant, the first place I would look would be his thread.

I like the Bryant pic but why add it to the game thread? Unless you add with "Bryant is gonna go beast mode against Purdue!" or something like that, it probably would have been more correct to add it to Bryant's thread.

Logic.

(Though I should probably refrain from comment, as I have contributed to derailing the Purdue gameday thread).

Like I said, this thread is LIVE. AKA, it's going to be posted in more than any other, and so it's not 'bumping it'.

I choose not to bump player's threads unless it's player news. You guys can all you want, and I won't say anything. I just don't like to.

Five freaking pages of debating where a f**king picture was added?
<iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/lbNidYYGjic" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

Anyway getting back to BK's comments I'm encouraged that he plans on playing the kids more this week. I'd like to see them get quite a few touches. The rotation should be Amir, Bryant/Folston, some Cam....GAIII riding the pine.

When he said Malik could play...does that mean in a game? Are we not redshirting him?

I wonder if BK is every going to go uptempo like he used to in Cincy? Since it appears as though our defense might regress a touch this year I would like see us become more efficient on offense and run some zone read on top of our pistol formation.

I actually agree with this.

It's a little annoying to see Mahone's thread (just as a hypothetical example) bumped with one post about how he is elusive.

Why not put the stuff/pics/tweets that people will want to see in the most viewed and most recent thread?

I think BK said that they can't go "up-tempo" without a mobile QB. There is a difference between no-huddle and up-tempo, and I would assume that with Rees at the helm we will continue to see the no-huddle, possibly at a faster pace, but I don't think we will ever see a super-speed up-tempo attack unless it's a 2-minute situation.

Did I read that right that Malik is going to play this week? Does BK mean play, play? Or simply that he'll be suited up. I thought we were trying to preserve his elegibility.

Gonna be a long season if he see's the field for meaningful snaps.

Well I don't think that's BK's intention.

I think he's trying to get him mop up duty in real-time (assuming he meant he intends to play Malik if possible - still not sure how to interpret that tweet).

Re-reading the tweet it says that "BK says Malik could play this week". I THINK that means in case of emergency? Not that BK plans to play Malik just cause we're up 30.

I wish we could go warp speed but if BK thinks they can't do it I'll defer to his superior judgement. However I'd like to see us go at a faster pace and go no huddle with more frequency. We take forever to snap the ball sometimes. I understood it last year, kind of, because we were breaking in Golson (though Mariotta and JFF could handle no huddle breakneck speed) but we have Tommy who is a senior. Tommy may not have the arm of Favre, the height of Manning, or the mobility of Vick but he does have a sharp football mind and I think he could handle it.

I would be extremely surprised if Malik played, he will dress and take some snaps in warm ups but no way he actually plays. Ill be at this game and i fully expect ND to beat the living hell out of purdue

I'd be surprised if MZ played. If he didn't beat out Hendrix for the number 2 spot, I would think they would want to save the year of eligibility.

I love my wife. I get home yesterday and she tells me she bought to tix for the game.

I'm going to be a tired puppy come Sunday morning. Saturday morning I have to drive 100 miles to put drywall in the house were rehabbing. Then drive back home, shower and drive 90 miles to West Lafayette to watch the Irish KICK the CRAP out of the Boilermakers.

This is going to be my first time going to Purdue to watch the Irish play. What should I expect? I know it's enemy territory, but I'm actually taking my mom because she hasn't seen the Irish play in person. There are a lot of tickets available on Stubhub, so I'm expecting quite a few ND fans. For anyone that's been there, what's the best way to get to the stadium, parking, etc.?

This will be my second ND game at purdue and for the most part the fans are pretty respectful. The old farts will bitch and moan when you stand up but thats pretty normal anymore. Just dont let anyone ruin the experience and you should be fine. And traffic and parking are suprisngly pretty good, chances are you will have to park about a quarter mile away from the stadium

I think praying for what you want, takes me into an occasion for sin.

With all due respect, if I'm going to do the time, I'd prefer to do the crime.

Does anyone know where I can watch this game on my phone? I will be at work Saturday night but would like to catch some of the game if I could. I don't think the ABC game's are streamed on WatchESPN, or ESPN 3. Anyone have a clue?

It's going to be very quiet in that stadium I think (Aside from the ND fans), so hopefully the fact you've been friends for a long time will allow for a lot of conversation ;) Otherwise theres going to be a lot of awkward silence.
