(I know you won't)
Is Auburn relevant?
Is a win over Auburn still a big win?
Will Auburn get six wins?
Against FBS opponents, Auburn is 96th in Scoring Offense (UMass is 94th), 103rd in Total Offense (Kansas is 96th), 102nd in 3rd down conversions (UCONN is 101st), and 118th in Passing Offense (Ga Tech is 119th).
They will probably beat San Jose State this weekend for their third win. A late November game against Idaho and their 123rd ranked scoring defense will produce another win.
Auburn needs two wins over conference opponents to reach six wins.
Next, Auburn plays Kentucky (10/15) and Arkansas (10/24) - both away games. We may know if their bowl chances will be fading by then, because Auburn finishes with Ole Miss, A&M, Georgia and Alabama.
They may be underdogs in all the rest of their conference games.
What if they had lost to Jacksonville State?
Gus is feeling the heat right now for sure. But Auburn is still a relevant program - even if they have been inconsistent recently. Their offensive struggles are due to not having a QB that can get the job done. A little surprising given Gus' track record with QBs. On defense, WM has a lot of work to do but I think he can get them much better as he upgrades the talent level. Injuries on both sides of the ball have hurt them as well. The Tigers recruit very well so I would expect them to improve going forward. But yeah... if Gus keeps pulling 8-5 seasons, the Barners are going to call for change.

Yessir. Deal
And I'm typically confused at my own posts so I can't help with the explanation much lol.
I'll take that bet in a heartbeat. The kids don't know how to win yet. And now it's massively in their heads. They play remedial offense in the 2nd half of games. The Arkansas game will be a bruiser, and then Georgia is gonna beat 'em IMO...the only thing stopping them will be a Bama hangover.
I've never seen a fanbase turn so quickly on a coach. The only thing that may save his job is he is signed through 2020 and it would cost a lot to fire him. They gave him a raise last year when there were rumors of Michigan contacting him. I believe they are also still paying Dooley (not sure how much longer).
If he punched a kid, he will be gone and they will not have to pay anything. I hope it's not true.
Heard that rumor, you think there is any way that is true? My boss's son was one of the equipment managers until this year (he graduated) so I used to get some inside scoop. I've only read it online.
So it all happened before the season started?
Wow, didn't realize they lost to Arky. Butch Jones is going to be in a really bad spot if they get smoked the next two weeks which they very well could.
Butch Jones could sell sand to the Sahara but is out coached just about every week. He's like 1-17 vs the top 25
That's the rumor. Not sure if something like that would have been kept quiet but as you know, once a Coach loses his support the stories come out.

Tennessee will finish 6-6 at best.
So supposedly there is a video out there of the Butch Jones altercation.

If true he's gotta go right?
So apparently when asked by the reporter about this. Butch said something along these lines "You find out who's with you and who's against you... You write it down and put it in your back pocket. To reference later...." at the press conference today???
This is from Vol247.
