Chili tonight. First time of the season.
Chili tonight. First time of the season.
Nailing his hearing may be the only reason he's welcome back for next season (vs expulsion for the others?). Pure speculation.

Pinto beans and ham in the crockpot. Getting ready to make jalapeno corn bread in a few. The beans are my Midwestern grandmother's recipe, the cornbread southern.... Got a foofie CB recipe for me Cack?
And you posted on ie all night! Uh!
I did have help. It took like 15 minutes.
When the hell did Famous Daves raise their prices so high? I went there thinking i could get a reasonably priced dinner and left feeling like i just starred in the worst scene from American Me.
So, just to change the wildly changing subject of this thread, I am headed to Ole Miss to watch Mississippi beat up on the Vols this weekend. I hear it is one of the most beautiful campuses (with the most beautiful women) in the country. Anybody ever been? Anything I need to see?
I am not sure if this has been presented yet as I haven't read every single post.
This weekend I tried waffles with Trader Joe's Cookie Butter on them. That was life changing.
The culinary discussion petered out
Not for soup beans and jalapeños corn bread. That is simple and good. That sounds just fine. Do you use fatback for the beans? Cast iron skillet for the cornbread?
I made my grits with heavy cream last night and poured them into a sheet pan and let them cool overnight. Tonight I cut them into squares.
I then sautéed kale and spinach in bacon solids and put that in between two slices of the grit cakes with some smoked Gouda cheese. Then I dipped that in an egg wash with flour and seared it in a cast iron skillet. Paired it with a duck thigh and yams

I spent some time in the south and caught the Ole Miss/A&M game in '13 where Manziel pulled out the win.
It's a nice campus and obviously the grove is the whole scene. There are some good bars and restaurants off campus but your best bet is to get there early, find a spot in the grove, set up and enjoy the atmosphere.
Yup, downhill from here, said it after the Russell decision. Somehow it's going to work out where Kendall Moore is the only one allowed to play this year, and he may never see the field. Oh, the irony that would be.
A source close to the situation told ESPN.com that Daniels has the option to potentially return to Notre Dame in the summer but will instead leave at some point this semester.
Irish coach Brian Kelly said during Tuesday's news conference that he hadn't seen Phillip Daniels' tweets, and he has only spoken to KeiVarae Russell and Ishaq Williams.
Kelly said Williams told him that, like Russell, he will not play this year but hopes to return to the team next season.
Russell, a junior cornerback, announced Friday on Instagram that he would not play this season but plans on returning to the program next season.
The fate of the other two suspended players -- Kendall Moore and Eilar Hardy -- remains unknown.
I think it's about time this thread was closed.
It had it's days, but it's over now.
